Price took a lot of stick before the Thompson fight. "pensioner", "old man" etc. Considered an over the hill fighter who even at his prime wasn't all that. Let's not forget that was Price's 16th fight. Now people wanna see David Haye-a far superior fighter, who has fought at a much higher level, with a lot more experience face Thompson? When he was considered a joke opponent for prospect Price and expected to be blasted out? Show's you how ****in' fickle people are.
In light of his press conference tomorrow, my previous views on Haye... http://murmuringsofaboxingmad-man.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/david-haye-fighter-or-celebrity.html
That's what it sounded like to me. Haye won't want to fight on a domestic card with no charge because he feels it won't draw enough money. He wants box office or subscription in order to drive the profits up. Sky won't offer him this (fair play Sky) unless he possibly fights a Klitschko because he's burnt their hands before with his shite fights. By the way, there's a chance it could still be Thompson he fights. Apparently TT has been quoted by some website as saying there's no deal been agreed for him to rematch Price at all. Don't know if those quotes are real but if they are then that still leaves it wide open.
jonathan banks...if banks took it...is the logical fight for me...top contender for vitalis title and haye would take his place and force the vitali fight to happen. where...when you consider he doesnt fight often...would haye be on a list of vitali contenders ??
Read it again, more of a call out than an announcement. Charr wouldn't be spouting off on twitter if it was Haye vs Charr.
I know, i thought it would be strange to announce it in such a way but there is an intro vid mock up from him? could be taken either way
