Why do people hate Manny Pacquiao?

Pac's come along way since I first met him, m. He couldn't speak or understand a word of English. We communicated with hand gestures.

 

I don't hate him just his ******* fans. I used to cheer for Pac until he fought Oscar then *******s got ridiculous and made it hard for me to continue to cheer for him.

Manny Pacquiao has hired a Los Angeles accounting firm (Tanner, Mainstain, Blatt and Glynn) to go over his tax records and to audit records from Top Rank Inc., which will cooperate with the audit, according to CEO Bob Arum.


According to RingTV.com, Arum said: "They're a terrific firm, they were highly recommended, and we're working with them on the IRS audits of Manny's returns. They're very reputable, and they know what they're doing and we're very pleased with the selection."


There have been questions about Pacquiao's finances in recent months. Trainer Freddie Roach has said that Pacquiao is "broke" and "goes through money like you wouldn't believe."​

Kudos to you for digging that up man, I couldn't find those pictures myself. I've always found it RIDICULOUS how people act like Manny is so small, he isn't at all, he was one of the biggest weight drainers before. The Oscar fight really pissed me off the most, he absolutely killed DLH forcing him to cut that weight, the guy looked like a zombie. Everyone knows it gets harder to cut weight as you age, and Oscar was already in the twilight of his career, he had no life to him at all after being weight drained. To anyone who has ever boxed, wrestled etc. who has ever cut weight, they know exactly what it feels like to be drained.

People downplay Floyd's win over Oscar, saying he was old... yet Floyd came in at 150, used NO catchweights, was outweighed by like 16 lbs, and still won... Pacquaio fights him over a year later, weight drains Oscar, and *******s claim it is a miraculous win... atschatsch

Just like them accusing JMM of steroids after saying Floyd was a ducker for demanding Manny takes the test, it is SHEER HYPOCRISY with *******s

No contract was ever signed as Floyd suddenly introduced conditions that had never been hithertofore a part of boxing.

 

People hate on PBF because his personality.. Much of it is acting IMO.
As for people hating Pac, it's because he's good, and has beaten most everybodies country heroes on this board. He never has a bad word to say about anybody so it can't be that...
Step back and take a look at the people he's beaten all over the globe. You beat Hatton and the british fans hate you, you beat Morales, Barrera, and Marquez (good fights) and the mexicans hate you, your a threat to Mayweather and blacks hate you, you pimp slap DLH all around the ring and whites hate you.
Only one who likes you are Phillippinos or the ones who are above the butt hurt to realize your a highly skilled warrior who takes on great competition.

I agree he has fought a lot of guys coming off a loss, and he has had a couple of ******ED catch weights. No reason to make Cotto weigh 145 when he weighed 146 in his prior fight. No reason to fight Margarito at 150 when he's going to outweigh you by 20 pounds anyways. DLH met him in the middle so that's on DLH if he had to drain himself.. He was the cash cow and made the rules, can't help it if he was stupid.
Bob Arum is Manny's biggest downfall. Pointless rematches, why do you rematch Marquez when you hold 2 victories and a draw over him (controversial or not)? Same reason I guess Rios is rematching Alvarado when he knocked him out? Dumb match making and in house fighting. Pac did however beat all the guys Mayweather was suppose to beat at 147.. Margarito, Cotto (first), Clottey, etc.

Mayweather does fight guys typically coming off a win, but lately he's fought two guys coming off a win against BERTO?! Not sure he's even a gate keeper these days. I'd prefer somebody coming off a competitive loss to somebody good, more than a hard fought victory with Berto.

REASONABLE conditions have ALWAYS been a part of Boxing. That is how you got 12 rounds bouts and attached thumb gloves. Mike Tyson asked Holyfield to do drug testing. Holyfield complied and fought.

Floyd didnt start acting that way until The Gatti fight which was his first PPV. Before this fight he was NEVER ever this cocky persona that we see today.

Conditions like demanding that someone take tests to prove they are clean? This is boxing, PEDs take on a whole different meaning. In Baseball if a guy juices, maybe he hits more home runs; in boxing there is a guy punching you in the face in there, your health is on the line. Would you be ok fighting someone who you have a strong reason to suspect was on PEDs, who refused to do testing? I don't think so.

 

You're mind was likely made before any of this came about. Really....you hate Pac because he didn't want to take a test that floyd had never asked ANYONE before? Or tests Floyd didn't need for his previous 40 fights? The comment about "testing for a fight of this magnatude" is a cop out too, since he didn't try to get this done for his fight w/ DLH.

And Shaeffer saying that stuff only makes this less realistic. Remember what he said when Judah wanted Shane tested?

You probably made your opinion on Pac before this, but THIS is what you use to justify your hate. it's a common practice, make a decision, validate it later... You;d make a great republican BBall.

 

I don`t hate him but I dislike a large section of his fans & their sheer clueless opinions & behaviour.

however the main reason I wanted to see him KTFO was because he was one half of one of the biggest disgraces in boxing history, the other half being floyd, I don`t need to say any more on that, makes me sick tbh.

 

th thing is, none of you posters gave two shits about testing until Floyd wanted it, and now all of a sudden, you're supposedly huge advocates for it. :roll:
