This is the way I see it, 168 shallow so he ranks highly based on longevity but there are a number of guys that would have given him the business at the weight. at 175, forget about it, that is deep and historical division that has produced dozens of elite fighters. 168 he stands a chance with most but at 175 forget about it (unless he fought at home and they did one of those infamous calslappy stoppages):D

He had a really odd style, fought kind of low, and had pretty good reflexes which made him hard to hit flush.. He also had pretty good pop on his punches.. He really frustrated Roy in the first fight, I think it pissed Roy off a bit, not feeling like he was getting beat, but mad that he couldn't get him out of there like he was wanting to.

168 is a comparatively new division. Until recently, there hasn't been much exposure or money in it as a whole. But even Joe haters have to admit 175 wasn't his best weight.

I'd favor any legitimately good 175 pounder, the obvious 168 (RJJ, Toney) and a few 160 pounders.

Of course, Joe would never have actually fought any of them. He didn't look for tough fights.

everyone counting out pascal confuses me. he's not a great fighter by any stetch, but who has joe fought with his combination of strength and speed? no one. and he got decked at LHW by two 40+ former middleweights. He proved all **** at 175. Pascal takes him at 175. easily? of course not. but joe won't hold up against him or box circles around him.
don't read too much into the hopkins fights. hopkins boxes much more smarter than joe and even he got rocked a few times. Joe wwould get rocked plenty
