The Hopkins win was always going to be good, outside of that his other wins havn't made people re-evaluate his resume. You could argue that the Kessler win MAYBE looks a little better on reflection but i'd say it's about the same. Then you have post-retirement looking to return at CW weight drained Eubank a win that actually looks worse when you look back at it. Also Lacy, Zombie Jones and Pudwill hardly the names that are going to make you look like a legend in future years.

The fact that biggest Calzaghe ****** rates Eubank win like one of 3 or 4 best tells alot about his record and level of opposition. Eubank win is at best solid win nothing more not even good win just OK win, Eubank did not win against decent fighters years before he faced Calzaghe, was nowhere near prime!

Eubank was old, Calzaghe was green. Given those circumstances, it was a great win

Eubank had only lost to S Collins before Calzaghe and disputably at that. Eubank had beaten, Malinga, Thornton, Benn, Rocchigiani etc who had all been or were SMW champs or became, add on Wharton, Watson, Jarvis and all the other names, Eubank had beaten many top SMWs

Eubank was 31 Beouche, which is younger than Froch, Kessler, Abraham, Bute today and had only lost disputably to one fighter. But you are right, green Calzaghe was excellent

Seeing as how Ward already surpassed him not really.
There are a few hardcore fans here that keep bringing him up and getting the same replies as always... which is that his resume is just way too thin.

Good fighter, and maybe a borderline atg but i find it difficult to even get him into my top100.

:patsch Who had Eubank beaten is of no relevance when he did that in his prime, tell me he last good win before Joe fight, what was it 3 4 years, dont care to check now but it was a long long time before facing Joe, i know you know exactly when he had his last decent win but will not post it, come on boxrec warrior check it:yep

I understand you are a troll but just to teach you something WARS IN THE RING TAKE MORE OUT OF FIGHTER THAN SIMPLY HOW OLD HE IS, how old was Fernando Vargas when he was shot there are some things you cant learn on boxrec...

Eubank was shot to pices from his wars with Benn , was preparing for a fight at LH and dropped to SMW in a week to fight Joe. He hadn't a decent win in 2 years prior and never won again after. You fail, again.

He was actually preparing to return as a CW , instead he drained himself to get back down to SMW and the two fights he had at CW strait after the Calzaghe fight he lost. But some people try to make out that this win over a past prime weight drained good but not great fighter is up there with SRL beating Hagler :patsch

It seems many of this so called experts on esb dont understand the difference between ring age and real age.
