When was Haye exciting at heavyweight? Just remember the fight with Audley! One of the worst heavyweight title fights ever. Or his fight with Valuev... throwing 11 punches per round and winning like this. Chagaev showed how to deal with Valuev!
Then his last fight with Wladimir.... No Haye never was that exciting at heavyweight just a lot of talk. And now, if he would face Charr he would go the easy way again. Charr is of course the weakest contender! But still better than most fighters Haye faced.

Charr is the new face of HBO Heavyweight Boxing.

It would be in Haye's best interest to take this fight.

Diamond Boy wants to fight the best and cares about his people where Haye wants to fight bums on PPV and steal money while putting on boring fights.

I'd want Charr to win it. He's a brother!

Hasn't he already done enough for a shot at Haye? After all he knocked out top contender Konstantin Airich in one round, with a brutal hook to the body that Tommy Morrison would be proud of:

True. Aside from Vitali, Charr is Haye's only chance to get back on HBO.

While Charr's efforts to get a fight are worthy of praise, lets remember that Haye is fighting to get himself into a mandatory position because Vitali's camp don't want to fight him.

Will beating #8 ranked Charr do much for his ranking compared to #3 ranked Banks?

Isn't this guy broke? He needs to be fighting for his own charity first

Manuel Charr vs. David Haye promo trailer. Thus far nothing is signed nor announced, but can anyone imagine the pre-fight build up if this actually happened. It would be epic:
