Floyd is so much better than his era that he will never get credit for who he beats!!

Dude is in his 17th year and gets 40 million a fight. At this point his fights are the Super Bowl of boxing. No need to over saturate the market. Quality over quantity my friend. He's been a champion in 5 weight classes and has been dominant and has preserved his career and maintained longevity. Floyd is a ppv king. He dedicated his entire life to the sport so now that he's older he deserves to fight once a year after what he has given the sport.

Who cares if he retired. Nobody knows the exact reason why he retired. Haters claim he did it to avoid Top Rank fighters. bob arums propaganda made people think his former fighter was ducking his current fighters lol. Cotto is no Atg neither is margarito yet floyd ducked them? Paul Williams got out boxed by Carlos Quintana and clowned but I'm supposed to believe he was going to beat Floyd?:patsch. Floyd came back after a 19th month layoff and dominated the #2 P4P jmm then dominated the #1 WW and #3 p4p Mosley, a guy that writers and fans said he was ducking. A guy that Bob Arum told the media Mayweather would never ever fight.:rofl

Osdt? Are you against it? Let me ask you this, who should get more credit: Floyd being a pioneer in drug testing in boxing and participating in it or Manny avoiding it and not being apart of the osdt movement?

It's like Ward hes cleaned out the division but to be great and stay near the top of p4p he has to move up in weight and challenge himself, if he moved up then back down he would get hated on

He was NOT in his 17th year when he "retired". Matter of fact that was 5 years ago. Your whole argument about how he's preserved his career and maintained longevity is EXACTLY what I have fault with. Floyd's never had to deal with the hand injuries (of which he has numerous documented issues) and physical strains like a true champion who was continuously fighting at the top of the sport would, and is a very overlooked part of his history.

It's funny how easily everyone likes to dismiss potential opponents for Floyd after he avoids them for so long:

Cotto was never great, Margarito was never a threat, Williams would've been easily outboxed, Pacquiao was no match for him, etc etc. Woulda, shoulda, coulda.

Boxing has shocked us before. He never fought Pac, he'll go down as a great fighter, but one that never fought "that guy".

Ward hasn't even moved up and people say he's P4P the best?:patsch P4P means fighting and being effective and dominant in numerous weight classes. When will ward go to LHW? Floyd's only competitive fight was in his 2nd weight class and it was his first fight at that weight. Coincidence? The other 42 fights have been dominant master boxing clinics. Fact!!!!!

And Pac never fought Floyd. So what, Floyd will never put money in bob arums pockets!!! Ever!! Bob arum stunted Floyd's career. When Floyd left him he instantly became the ppv king. Coincidence??

Guess Emanuel Stewart is also a hater ,listen to what he says at 1:55 mark on ..

You can't be considered the greatest picking and choosing who and when to fight no matter how talented your are or how popular !

Because he didnt fight Pac? that's ridiculous. Pac was knocked out by bums, out boxed by a washed up morales, counter punched to death vs JMM in 4 fights and knocked unconscious by an almost 40 year old and you are telling me this guy defines Floyd career? :patsch. Everyone knows Pac would have gotten picked apart by Floyd. Bob Arum built pacs name off of Mayweathers name. He fought 3 guys that Floyd fought after Floyd fought them and then used weight advantages vs Come forward guys not at their best!!! This can't be disputed...Oscar coming off a bad performance vs forbes and before that lost to floyd in floyds first fight at 154lbs in a small ring wearing pillows vs the former MW champ and current JMW champ and legend. Hatton coming off a ko and a terrible performance in which he was almost KO'ed vs some chump. Cotto at a catch weight after Cotto was pounded by Margarito and beat up by Clottey, fighting Clottey after the loss to Cotto. Margarito at a catch weight for a vacant title after he was knocked out by Mosley and coming off a suspension/layoff. Mosley after loss to Floyd, a horrible draw to mora....getting out boxed by jmm in their 3rd fight after Floyd toys with great Jmm with ease.

Do you not see the pattern? And this guy is supposed to be Mayweathers ticket into the pantheon of greatness!??!!:patsch get real man

Agreed. His dominance is impressive, but you can't call it unparalleled when he doesn't have a single win over a prime ATG. In the 40's for sure, I could see arguments higher and lower, but there have been more dominant and more accomplished fighters.
