Fights between two huge punchers.

    I'm watching McClellan vs Jackson I right now and man, it's hard to watch at times. I had seen it a good while ago, but I didn't knew about both man as much as I do now. Man, these two huge punchers loading that much on their right hand is something you don't see that often.

    What similar fights can you name ? I got Hagler-Hearns, because both guys clearly wanted to take the other guy out as soon as possible, even if Hagler was more of a well rounded guy. Foreman-Lyle is a no brainer. I have trouble thinking about other fights. There are so many slugfests, but not that many featuring two deadly punchers like Jackson and McClellan.

    So, any other fights ?

    Benn-Barkley, but Iran never got the chance to really load up on Benn.

    Foreman-Cooney. Gerry rocked George as much as anyone did in the 1990s in the first round, George knocked Cooney out in the 2nd. Big punches were thrown and landed in that short fight.

    Joe Louis vs Max Baer (Although it was a one sided fight not like Foreman - Lyle, but then not many fights were like that anway)

    There were a lot of big punching middleweights in the 90's. Lots of great fights.

    I'll also had Hasim Rahman vs Corrie Sanders (who was rocking a mustache). I can't believe that Rahman survived that 3rd round left uppercut. If you haven't seen it, go fast. Sanders also had him on ***** street in the 2nd.

    I never liked either McClellan-Jackson match as Gerald seemed to dwarf Julian.

    That said, if there is legitimacy to the rumors of the headaches Gerald suffered afterward... that would shed a different light on the affair.

    Graziano-Zale series would be my mention.

    I have never been able to watch the full Benn-McClellan fight. There's nothing to enjoy there.

    Rahman is a strange case, sometimes he looked as if he could be put to sleep by a jab, other times he took heavy shots as if they were nothing.

    In the Lewis rematch, he was somehow still on his feet after the left hook, before the right put him to sleep.

    Fair play to him for trying to get up too.

    Carlos Zarate Vs Alfonso Zamora. Zarate 45-0(44) and Zamora 29-0(29) both holding half the bantamweight titles but with the fight contested above the limit.

    They bombed at each other until one crumbled. Incredible shootout between arguably the two hardest punchers in the division's history, one of the sport's deepest historically and which is awash with bangers.

    Did the left actually land? I've always felt it sounded more impressive than it was and the right was the bomb.

    Great pick. I remembrer that build up for fight. I live in New York so I missed out on it. It would have been monster pay per view if it was held today.
