Klitschko opponents are cherry pick. How many big names were around when Louis was in his prime?? None. He took on the best when it came to voluntary defenses he didn't fight no washed up Briggs or Wach or Pienata, whatever his name is. He didn't let Chisora,a pressure fighter, fight the brother who was capable of handling a style like chisora. Same logic? No

In addition to the lack of talent & lack of skill there are very few decent fights being made, making a poor division even worse.

Wlad is on a terrible recent run of opponents, Vitali is shot & Povetkin is either fighting sick old men or going life & death with Huck.

Below the top 3 it just gets worse

A prime Vitali got beaten up by a washed up out of shape Lennox and yet Vitali goes on to dominate this HW divison at 40+ years old.

So what? In one fight Jack Johnson manouvered things so if a fighter couldn't knock him out within 6 rounds in his home town, he would keep his title no matter what. Jack Dempsey refused to fight several fighters because they were too dangerous. Riddick Bowe threw his title in the trash rather than fight Lewis. John L Sullivan avoided the superior Peter Jackson like the plague.

Ducking and cherry-picking has been going on since forever. So what's your point? Good luck on trying to prove what the Klitschko's are supposedly doing is somehow worse....

He got stopped on a cut. Fair and square win, yes. But no exactly the epitomy of domination.

Jack Johnson beats any man around that time.

Who did Dempsey avoid? Only avoided Langford. Fought everyother top fighter around then.

Sullivan was completely washed up by then but again that was one fighter.

Apart from there ducking they never cherry picked they still fought the best every match..Cherry picking the likes of Corbett,Tunney,Gibbons,Jeffries,Ketchel is nothing. They don't have another brother to handle the fighter the other is not good style wise. They don't need slave contracts also

I never said Lewis dominated Vitali rather he was beaten by a washed up out of shape old champion but is able to go on to do dominate a era of HW divison at the age of 35+ demonstrates how weak this era is. Vitali is no champion in the 1960,70,80,90

If the Klits weren't so good, everyone else would look better.

The Ketchel fight was a failed fix for God's sake! And the fact Johnson would have beaten his contemporaries is not the point. There is no way you can successfully argue that the K's are worse at manufactured title reigns than Johnson.

    Dempsey ducked Harry Wills.

When people look back at past eras they are looking at the era as a whole, and taking each fighter at their best during that era. Looking at the present you only see a current snap shot of what the situation is right now. It would be fairer to compare now with a specific time in the past, like 1925, 1949, 1983 etc. If people did that they might realise that at certain times in past decades some of the best fighters of those decades may have, at that time, been green or past their best- and all of a sudden those times don't look as good as they may have seemed

So you have decided this based on one fight? A fight that was ended on something utterly arbitary as a cut? That is ******ed on a Farmboxer level.

If you don't think Vitali would have been champion in any of the eras you mentioned, fine. But basing that opinion on the Lewis fight alone is laughable to the extreme.

The boxers today would kick the **** out of the boxers of Louis' era.

He's already beaten the top guys or they don't want to fight him.

He's 41. Might not even fight again.

Go blame the WBA for making Rahman a mandatory.

Yeah those guys would get beaten by some fat short bum with 23 losses.

Dempsey did not duck Wills, His manager/promoter didn't want no part.

How can you not? It was a TOTALLY different time. I'm pretty sure Wladimir or Vitali has never been threatened or had someone attempt to kill them because they were a white champion.

Wlad is a safety first fighter in a VERY weak era, which will speak volumes about his legacy.
