That was awful, awful awful, such a crap night of boxing. buddy mcguirt talking about trainspotting would have been much more exciting. **** poor preformance
Terrible performance he got completely outboxed Bellew, no idea how you can score it 4 rounds to Bellew
I've been to funerals more exciting, thank god rios is fighting tonight. a lesson in excitment hopefully that will be
Huh? I thought Matthews-Crolla was a really good fight. Even Bellew/Chilemba had its moments, sure there wasn't a lot of amazing shots landing but tactically it was decent enough viewing, certainly not an awful fight. Stop crying for ****s sake.
Bellew sets himself up for reactions like this cos of the **** he talks before fights. Just look at the promo Sky did before the fight!
So because Tony Bellew may say some questionable things that means its justified for everybody to throw a complete hissyfit because the fight didn't go as they wanted?
The fight didn't go as people wanted? I'm pretty sure most people wanted/expected Bellew to win. Most posters are pissed off mainly at the commentary, making the fight seem an obvious Bellew win when in fact it was quite close. There's the odd idiot shouting robbery (as there always is when you get a close fight). And I think it's fair for people to complain about a boring fight if they think it was. Bellew does promise a lot. He's not the only fighter who does that but those that constantly do it without delivering end up getting derided.
It's one thing to criticise a performance, its another to post with the disdain and melodramatic nature of some of the posts that are flying around at the moment. It's pretty distasteful, and greatly ironic considering a large number of these posts are picking holes in Bellew's personality. It's the sort of thing that makes this place a little too much after a while.
