    Brandon Rios and others have tremendous respect for Alvarado, even going out their way in calling Mike a "WARRIOR", yet you are here calling him a coward.

    Oh you mean the eleventh in which Rios threw a bunch of arm punches with some real power shots mixed in, of which most were blocked?

    Just because Alvarado stepped off the gas and comparatively wasn't landing as much as in the other rounds he took doesn't mean that his accuracy and quality weren't better than Rios' quantity.

    He didn't kick Rios' ass at all. Rios was beating Alvarado down when they were trading shots like warriors, so Alvarado decided to run and potshot. Meanwhile Rios was trying to make the fight the second half, but Alvarado wanted no piece of him.

    Yes. I'm not the only one who gave the 1st to Alvarado. Maybe the most even one all night; I saw a few people score it 10-10. So what?

    If you think it was unquestionably Rios' you need to go watch it again.

    I personally gave both to Rios, but Alvarado was landing some big shots in the first and made it pretty hard to call. My scorecard, incidentally, was 8-3-1 for Alvarado...Just because Rios was landing hard punches from time to time and moving forward doesn't mean he was winning more rounds than three or four. In terms of scoring criteria, Alvarado had clear edge in terms of ring generalship, and by the end was pulling ahead in terms of clean effective shots being landed each round. That's enough for a decisive win, imo.
