Mancs where outside singing a few songs about manchester, scousers also outside having what seemed friendly banter, add loads of alcohol and lemo, and theres going to be trouble, saw a fat bird legging it from where it was all kicking off in upper tier, saw what looked like special needs manc on ground level giving it the big i am. The "one great dust up" was absolutely shite
This is why i wouldnt bother with an echo show. Just always seems to be a load of unknowledgable hooligans there, causing trouble. What kind of a boxing fan leaves before the main event?
I was at the Harrison Vs Price fight and there was a bit of a scuffle across from where I was sitting. I thought it was a very good night and the scousers I was sitting in amongst were friendly and knowledgeable.
The mancs were loud, things were said between the two sets of fans and it went off.Ale was thrown first then a full on brawl, nobody got ran and the mancs has nowhere to go but fight. They left because they knew they had to for their own safety missing the main event. I was by a manc lad and he was alright, put the two together and in groups with ale down them and this is always going to happen. Price Vs Fury would be a full on riot, I'd steer clear of that one if it happens. Northeners can't fight like those Cockney Pearly King's that's for sure.:think
You couldnt be further from the truth my friend. If you decide not to go the Echo you are missing out on one off if not the best boxing venues in the country. It was my first time there, travelling up from the Midlands and I loved every minute. There wasnt any unknowledgable hooligans there, but there were large groups of Crolla supporters seated together which given the Liverpool Manchester rivalry was allways in danger of boiling over if left unsupervised. This was no reflection on The Echo,it could have happened in any location. The Echo is no different to any boxing venue of it's size, sometimes you will get this happen. The scouse and manc lads around me were well sound and we all had a great laugh although the manc lads kept there mouths shut Only slight moan is theres not enough bogs although if you go a bit out of your way you will find some less busy thwn others. Now I know which are best seats I cant wait to get back!
mancs left for there own safety?? they only came for crolla and what trouble there was i hear they got the best of it not that it matters but unfortunately its bound to happen when manchester and liverpool start mixing
Every time I've been to the Echo it's gone off. It's just something you need to be wary of when attending a show there.
