It was a close fight but I had Alvarado up 115-113...AT MOST a draw would'nt be a robbery but can't give it to Rios.
Alvarado without a doubt. The man came to fight, and he had a great gameplan. Rios might have had a better chance had he continued to let that jab go. It seemed to be landing pretty well at the beginning of the fight, and one of the later rounds.
I had the first round a draw, and then Alvarado going on to nick it 6 rounds to 5. It was almost a dead even fight, and I wouldn't argue with anyone who had Rios just slightly edging it. Every single round was a close round, with many of them that could have swung either way. So yeah, the judges scorecards were perfect. They done a good job.
Alvarado. The MC said so after the fight; also if there's one fighter around who has used up his fair share of gifts it's Rios.
Yeah, I too didn't think he'd have the patience to box and move. And I thought that was being confirmed as early as the second round when Rios had him hurt. But thankfully he came to his senses in the later rounds and showed more versatility than Rios. He limited Rios' success by moving around, and indulging in the odd short burst of exchanges when he needed to. He was mixing his doses of boxing and warring really well.
