only would be a joke fight Broner was a proven welterweight...

Paulie has been in and tooken shots from some big punchers and has tons of experience, and he's not a paper champ..

Broner is moving up 2 divisons without even testing the waters @ the weight with a tune up. this fight could be interesting..

long story short, Broner a G.

paper champ is when you beat no one @ the weight for a belt..

Floyd beat Cotto, who beat foreman, who was the actual champ..

    don't forget DLH :hi:

whether you think theyre elite or not is irrelevent..

That's what I'm getting from you guys, every time someone suggests he fight a natural SWW or a middle dropping down in weight, it's not fair, he's just a welter

Canelo is only 22 and is fighting in his second weight class.
Martinez is fighting in his third weight class.
Lets see GGG do something at middleweight before asking to see how he does at 168.

    Hope that helps.

Dude you asking me define "paper champ" says it all, you're pretty much conceding.

it comes down to the haters being afraid to admit that he's THAT GOOD, one of the greatest to ever do it :good

that's the only time a fighter gets held with such high demands/standards

It is a joke fight regardless. Cano wasn't a WW, he was a jr. Ww Paulie's team got to move up and he still beat him.

Paulie is famous at 140 for getting his ass beat, he is a non-entity at 147, he has beat no one and like I said lost to a blown up Jr. WW who Morales made quit.

Broner is a solid fighter and definitely has the skill, speed, and power advantage over Paulie. It is a joke fight to take a paper title at 147 and avoid real comp at 140.

Cotto was never the man at 154, hell you could argue 154 is vacant of a champ. Floyd is a titlist at 154, I'll give him that but he never had more than a trinket in the division.

Floyds best weight has always been 147, both times hes moved up to 154 hes been a lot slower and tagged a lot easier but still pulled out pretty convincing wins against Delahoya and Cotto but people calling for him to fight at his natural weight?

Hypothetically he moves up to 160, come fight night hed weigh maybe slightly more or even under whilst the guys hes fighting would be coming in at around 168-175 (180 if their name is Chavez  ) so for his opponents to not only have a considerable height and weight advantage Floyd also wouldnt be as fast as he is at 147, much slower and facing guys who hit much much harder than him

147 is where I think Floyd should stay and maybe move up to fight Alvarez at 154 at the tail end of his career.

As for Broner thats a different story. He came into his fights not even making the weight when he is fighting guys who are just too small. Broner to me should have been fighting at 140-147 and in my eyes could make 154 without much problem.

Escobedo moved down from lightweight to fight Broner because he was too small for the weight and Broner didnt even make 130! Fair enough he fought Demarco and then fights Rees (5 foot 4.....) and to take the **** even further when he does decide to jump up in weight avoids the deepest division around him and takes on the weakest of welterweight champions in Malignaggi who in his last fight barely made it past a guy who Morales stopped (Granted Morales may or may not have been using PEDs at the time)

Big difference between Floyd and Broner, Floyd has grown into the weights whilst Broner has always looked much bigger than his opposition.
