He's bigger than me anyway... In my opinion. I reckon if he kept on training but he was not on a restricted diet..? 90-96kg.
I thought Bellew was a touch classless last night, and he needs to realise the fight wasn't as one sided as he would like us to believe. There is a touch of him turning hero to villain. I wasn't impressed at all with his performance, antics and post fight interview.
If Bellew would really walk around with 90-96 Kilo why the **** should they drain him in to 79 Kilo? Would be some stuipid move... Bellew was pretty hyped up before the fight! Almost everyone here said he would win against Chilemba. Also many thought he won against Cleverly. And suddenly when he looks **** against a good, fast and slick boxer you say he was drained... Every fighter gets tired when he misses that often like Bellew did! You cant imgain how much energy it costs to jump in your opponent und then miss badly with your shots. Bellew did this all night long.
He needs to shut his north and south, always threatening to hurt people and smash them to pieces. He was in interviews saying that the bloke last night had never had faced anyone like tony bellew? Who the **** is tony bellew? His,last few fights have been ****ing awful. He needs to start showing a bit more respect and delivering. I reckon Hearn will end up regretting signing him, he is trouble.
You can't really blame a fighter for trying to sell his fight. Bellew's attitude in the build up is what attracts the casuals and pushes his purse up higher. it also could help gain a mental edge over the opponent, you could say it helped with the cleverly fight and plenty of other fighters have done it before him. I mean how many of us on here can judge whats its like to feel like after a 12 week training camp, leading to a world title eliminator? Not everyone is chilled out and relaxed like Ricky Burns comes across as What disappointed me about it was how nice chilemba was, showed respect from pre to post. kept looking disappointed where ever tony opened his mouth. Pre-fight everyone was saying it was a 50-50 fight if someone said it was a draw before hand then no one would of been surprised. the fight was always going to come down to tactics which he got wrong. As for his rough antics in the ring, its like diving in football, disgusting to see but it seems part of boxing now. just look at ward and mayweather. the post fight comments just seemed like a frustrated boxer, yes he could of shown humility but it was a close fight. You only have to look at his twitter now to realise he has chilled out now. and you probably won't see him apologise to a future opponent On here i think we see the closest to real tony bellew your going to see, you judge them on their arrest records and what they are are like when you shake their hands and say hello in person. still think he is a esb hero
He said he walks around at 187lbs and doesn't go higher than that anymore but naturally would be 200-205lbs
You wonder why he would drain himself like that... I think he knows that at Cruiserweight it would be much harder to get a title shot for him.
All these bellends suggesting he has to move up to cruiser, you do realise he will get his arse handed to him up there right?! Can you imagine what Huck or even Afolabi would do to him? Those boys hit him with the punches that Chilema hit him with it is proper lights out, game over.
That he seems completely incapable of showing in the ring. The man is all talk and an entitled brat to boot.
Question is, how will Bellew React once he's calmed down? Will he be honest with himself re. the actual fight as well as his behavior? Or will his attitude be "**** the haters, I am who I am"?
