it almost seemed as if they agreed beforehand that alvarado would win this fight in order to force a trilogy, they were hyping it up in order to create a ward/gatti type atmosphere for the 3rd fight. there is no way you could say alvarado lost that fight unless you judged the fight by their faces. alvarado definitely pulled away with the fight in the later rounds. if alvarado would have went to the body more often in the earlier rounds, and boxed instead of getting into those exchanges, he would have taken the wind out of rios's sails and it could have been a lopsided victory if not a knockout for alvarado. i think alvarado will make further adjustments in the 3rd fight and get a decisive victory. rios's style of fighting is not good for his brain, he takes too many shots and it appears to be taking its toll on him already.

Good post....I think you might be right about how a 3rd fight goes down...but to be honest...BOTH took a major about of punishment to the head and the connect percentage were pretty equal by the end of the fight. Rios ate a lot of shots but Alvarado did as well.

 Pity bob doesnt believe in rematches and only made this fight because he was pressured into it by HBO

Hes just pissed Rios didnt win and he wasnt able to put him in with Pacquiao like he originally planned to  although that may still happen

And the only reason hes putting Rios in with Pac (or was going to) is because Marquez said no to a 5th match which in all fairness he is entitled to do after getting screwed in the 3rd fight

Bob Arum is still the biggest **** in boxing :deal

On another note GBP have made a good move by going to showtime (or HBO's mistake, either way) Roy Jones showing early signs of dementia saying "Bradley lands a good left hook" . . . . . . :rofl Showtime however is actually a pleasure to watch especially with Al Bernstein, someone who actually knows about boxing. dudes a hero

Theres an old proverb you should take solace from

    Dont feed the trolls

Seriously Ignore him and he will starve

Now to get this back on topic, Who would rather see a 3rd fight as opposed to Rios and Alvarado fighting some lower level Toprank fighters

"Troll"...The **** is that anyway? And how the **** is anyone going to starve on the internet? You gals are kind of extreme with this ****.

Back on topic.....Rios didn't do anything that was disrespectful to Alvarado. They both gave a hell of a performance that will ensure they have bigger paydays down the line.
