David Haye could probably make 175 if he wanted to...

I honestly think Tony Bellew could comfortable fight at Heavyweight and weigh around the same weight as David Haye.

Exactly. After the McKenzie and Miranda fights, nobody was claiming Bellew was drained and he made this fight just as easy as those two. The only time I remember him struggling with the weight was when he accepted the Cleverly fight at very late notice, which has to be discounted for obvious reason.

There's nothing wrong with his weight and he shows no signs of struggling, however, whenever he puts in a poor showing, this will pop up.

Fair point, maybe its the face that makes his body look worse than it actually is.

Making the weight? **** me, I bet you Tony has to watch every single thing that he eats and is on a strict calorie controlled diet all year around. He looks gaunt, drawn in, rake thin (look at his arms, face and legs)... He is literally dead at the weight!

Forget the likes of Huck & co for a moment. I bet the world on it that if Tony jumped up to Cruiser JUST ONCE he'd NEVER go back down to LH again. Trainng would be more fun and easier to get through due to him functioning 100%.

I guarantee that Tony functions at 75% tops @ LH.

You think Tony is naturally thin? He was a HW, you berk.

I swear to god some of you know NOTHING about the training and eating aspect of combat sports.

    Plebs.

Bellew has always had a very odd physique at LHW, there is really nobody you could compare him to.

That said, its difficult to draw conclusions from the outside looking in. People come up with an equation that seems to make logical sense, he's tall, he looks "thin" and a bit "odd", and he hasn't quite maintained a pace in fights and this must equal the fact he should be at cruiserweight, but there is nothing conclusive in that. It's just evidence we can infer from, its not necessarily correct so I wouldn't be quite so dogmatic. For all we know he may be rejuvenated if he did fight at cruiser, or he may be lacking strength and power and he may fade anyway, he may be a "Jermain Taylor" that is a little bit of a frontrunner that tails off.

What we do know is he's got pretty far at light heavy, so its not a decision to take lightly. I'd see what happens in a rematch and take it from there. If you fall short its natural to look at another career route which would probably entail moving up but he's still in a decent career position despite last night. You may be a lot better off taking your chances in a rematch, possibly fighting/winning a world title (I'm talking possibilities here, not whether its probable), and then moving up if that doesn't work out rather than just taking a chance moving up off the back of a draw in an eliminator at LHW and wasting that prorgress.

I have been saying he was weight drained for years.

Because its a fact, and everybody inside the game and with any sense knows he is dead at the weight.

Why would Nathan Cleverly say that...

"Everybody knows you are dead at the weight"......when they first clashed at their first press conference.

..and yet he over the last 2 years his last 8 fights have gone something like 80 rounds. Thats not "dead at the weight".

So, in your opinion, Tony looks fantastic at the weight?

If you are asking if I think Bellew looks great at 175, then no I don't. If you are asking if I think its die to the weight making, then no I don't. If you are asking if I think he'll look better at cruiserweight, then its no again.

So a fighter that is PLAIN underweight and drained wouldn't LOOK BETTER with a few stone on him? Interesting...
