It was very poor but with groves debut expected better Just shows people want to see decent fights not just names
Hearn needs to realise its not names, it's fights. People don't want to see Barker v TBA, they want to see Crolla Matthews 3, 4 and 5 over that crap.
I ain't shocked. It was rather low key. A decent show in general but lacking the star power really. I think they hoped Groves signing would do them more tickets but it didn't seem to. Think Danny Connor and Barker were the major pullers judging by the noise for them. I hope from here on in the viewers raise because we don't need it flopping to that level on a regular.
saturdays should be far higher it was ss1 and the adverts had some good selling points to the fights that wembley card got what it deserved no ticket sales no viewers
Yeh and title eliminators, whilst necessary, don't really get the blood-pumping especially for a casual fan. Domestic dust-ups do seem to draw best.
The card had barely any promotion on Sky Sports News etc, just Eddie on twitter. Poor shows equal poor viewing figures.
Despite some people defending it, it was a poor card. I'd be more worried if Saturdays card didn't get viewers but not so much this one.
I don't think anybody been defending it, just saying its not as bad as people are making out. Be interesting to see what Saturday did in comparison.
McDermott vs Skelton got 7,000 on Loaded TV. But the other loaded Boxing shows have been **** poor. A repeat of Fash FC (4,000) got more viewers than Brian Rose vs Sam Webb.
