There have been more unbeaten champions, or men who avenged every defeat.

Also if you count amateur career with it, Ricardo "finito" Lopez is the only unbeaten champ.

    I do

Holyfield's wins over Bowe and Tyson are better than anything on Lewis' resume

Losing to Bowe and Moorer in decisions is much more forgivable than getting KOed by McCall and Rahman

So who is Bowe if he hasn't beaten Holyfield, and who is Moorer?

But from the Holyfield fights to the Lewis fight, Tyson wasnt really tested by anyone so there was an air of mystery of whether he still had it.

However, watching the Botha fight (where Botha made Tyson look like a fool) it was clear Tyson wasnt what he once was.
This is from 1997, 5 years before he fought Lewis

LLs resume is 2nd or 3rd greatest of all heavyweights.

    Ali is at number one
Number 2 is either Holyfield or Lewis. Not going to argue with either of those.

People like to **** on Tysons resume, however Tyson and Lewis have a lot of mutual opponents, what sets Lewis apart is his wins over Holyfield, Tua, Briggs and Vitali and obviously the way Lewis finished his career on top.

Tyson/Lewis mutual opponents include Tucker, Biggs, Holyfield, Tucker, Botha, Bruno, Ruddock and Golota.

Is Lewis win over old Holyfield that better than Tysons over old Holmes?

Tyson was the only guy who Kod Holmes, Holmes (after Tyson) would go on to beat Mercer (Who Lewis had a tough time with), and he lost a decision to Mcall (Who Kod Lewis and was a former Tyson sparring partner)

Tucker, Biggs, Botha, Bruno, Ruddock and Golota. Tyson beat them all before Lewis did, apart from Golota.

Well consider that he never beat anyone good in their prime. Consider he ducked Bowe. Consider he was KO'd twice by less than stellar opponents. Anyone can have an off night but getting one punch KO'd by Rahman in your prime?

Lewis is somewhere in the top 30.

Tucker, the only guy who fought Tyson at his absolute best and young Lennox in his prime and wasnt stopped by either of them

Between them, Tyson/Lewis stopped Bruno, Ruddock, Biggs, Golota and Botha

Lewis' resume is better than Tysons but only by a small margin

Yes Tyson's win over Holmes was a decent win. Consider that Holmes went on to defeat the same Ray Mercer who would get robbed of a decision against Prime Lewis. Consider that Holmes would challenge Holyfield for the true title and do fairly well and go the distance.
Holmes was still one of the best boxers at the time of the Tyson fight. Holmes would even fight well against Oliver McCall who KO'd Lewis in 2.
Plus Tyson KO'd Holmes. Lewis won a UD over old Holyfield in 2 fights. Lewis was robbed int the first Holyfield fight BUT,many thought he did worse in the second Holyfield fight! Emmanuel Steward even said that he though Holyfield won the second fight.

Tyson foguth every champion of his time and collected all their titles. Tyson beat Berbick,Smith,Tucker,Spinks. Won ever title and was the true champ. Lewis won a vacant belt and then was KO'd against his first live opponent.

Lewis fought old fat Tucker and scraped by. Lewis never beat anyone good in their prime.

    No. Joe Louis is.

Lennox Lewis? The guy who got ko'd twice in his prime by less than stellar fighters? The guy who ducked Bowe?
The guy who got only one UD win in 2 fights with old Holyfield?
    Dont make me laugh.

Bowe is the 2 time world champ who beat prime Holyfield twice, something Lewis could never do. Holyfield was the best Heavyweight of the 90's by far and Bowe beat him twice. Lewis didnt touch Holyfield until he was sure Holyfield was old. and Lewis needed 2 fights to get a single win! LOL

    Lewis=****
