    i'm not sure if this qualifies but when i watch benny leonard, his footwork always intrigues me.

    i never see any boxers move round the ring like he used to.

    Sure Benny did that, too, d, but this was a slick move that usually ended a fight with one shot.

    It's still used, but fighters get grilled these days for spinning their opponents.

    Ya don' see it so much nowadays, d. It was a favorite of Jake LaMotta's. He paid for it dearly against SRR.

    When done right, it's a thinga beauty. Remember seeing Pep twisting opponents into pretzels, tattooing 'em with jabs, 'n gone before they could find him. Same for Sweet Pea, Camacho, Sr. 'n Tippy Larkin.

    Willie Pep arm pull turns, and the long range right to the body whilst turning over the shot to connect using the fore-knuckle part of the glove. Ray Robinson, Charles and a generation of fighters really favoured that punch and its gone now, you dont see it.
