And if you had problems, for doing exactly what you do, you would be the idiot, correct? You have acted no different to macky so far, yet he is an idiot yet your not? Get off your pedastal
The whole segregation idea is pathetic to be honest as it assumes that you only support your hometown fighter. I could have been shouting for Crolla and Bellew on Saturday, what happens then? The answer is better stewarding....turning away drunks or druggies and don't serve beer at events. If people want to be treated like children then so be it
He's not an idiot for supporting a boxer or chanting, he is an idiot for trying to excuse the fact there was violence in the crowd by saying "they threw beer" as if that somehow makes it OK to kick the **** out of people. I'm sure there were Crolla fans that were more than happy to return fire and probably enjoyed their opportunity to behave like drunken thugs, kicking off and basking in their 2 minutes of glory so they could text all their mates about what a fantastic fight they had at the boxing. It's the whole mentality that is wrong there, not what he actually did on the night, look at the bigger picture and think outside the box.
I wasnt commenting on that though, the 'blame them' attitude doesnt help. I was referring to his specific actions and how what he did was no different to anyone who peacefully supports a boxer through singing and shouting. It is not being an idiot to be attacked because of this. Realistically though, walking into a group of mancs challenging them is only going to end one way, rightly or wrongly, what type of mentality does it to take to do that. Likewise after he was punched the rest should have ignored him.
It won't work and shouldn't be needed.....All this kicking off at events isn't something that I came across ten years ago, its pretty much a recent development. If blokes could be partisan back then without causing bother, why can't it happen now.
So how is the guy an idiot for being attacked? In his original post he puts forward a point of view, Paulie Mc disagrees and says 'no it was the mancs' and you give it thumbs up. Same point, different reaction.
I'm afraid this is likely the only answer. Stop serving beer at events until people learn to behave. It may make me sound like a boring old sod but it has to be done. Having no ale may ruin people's enjoyment but at the end of the day I'd rather be sober and bored than be drunk and getting my head smashed in by some other drunks. Turn away people who are pissed and have better security to catch people who smuggle in drugs or weapons. If anyone is spotted causing trouble then kick them out before it escalates. I will say the security at the Echo the other night was very poor, all the stewards I saw were all middle-aged women and there hardly in any position to throw trouble-makers out are they?
I was chanting Bellew songs when he came out. I'm a fan of Bellew The Scousers looked at me amazed when i did this.
Here's an idea to stop drugs entering the arena. 2 sniffer dogs on the door.....end of problem. Why are people not clever enough to do this. won't exactly cost alot to do that. People wont try smuggling drugs past a sniffer dog.
