    Well JMM fought p4p Floyd and Pac in his 5th division. Floyd fought non p4p Cotto and DLH in his 5th, and any time someone asks why he's not defending his title and #1 status at 154, the ***** gaggle goes: boohoo, he's too old, too small

    Very few active fighters who could be considered potential ATG's get the rightful credit they deserve until they've been retired for at least 10-15 years.

    I'm sure Mayweather will be looked at in a different light by boxing fans, even those most critical of his resume, after he's hung them up for a while.

    Floyd gets crap because of the First Castillo fight and him ducking Margarito. Though I rightly think that Floyd was the best in his era his career lacks a career defining fight and this is what has hurt him as far as ATG status.

    Good thread. I feel that floyd is under appreciated.. but over appreciated by his fan boys...I remember when Golota had a bunch of fans ... and Lewis koed him in 1 round and all the fans still stayed.. will they stay if floyd get knocked out??? Golota was a good fighter.. he beat up riddick bowe who beat holyfield.. i think golota would be champ today.. maybe even beat wlad. he only had brain issues that can be fixed by doctor hi shaw... .........Vitali was there when Lewis knocked out Golota and he said he is not ready for lewis... than in 2000 when lewis knocked out grant he said he was not ready for lewis.... in 2003 he thought he was finally ready.. but it turn out he was still not ready for lewis... i don't think he was ever ready for lewis.............
