Alvarado-Rios Did 1.2 Million Viewers

To be fair that was a ATG being brutally knocked out, 30 million people have HBO of course people are going to tune in for that

 

No doubt... But I'm saying the reason Donaire/Arce drew those numbers was because they followed the replay of KTFO6.

 

All that shows is hbo has a loyal 1 mil fan base. Don't matter who fighting. Boxing fans will tune in.

 

Mayweather fan trying to **** on warriors doing battle, as usual. As if nobody actually likes that kind of fight. atsch

 

I had lunch yesterday with a guy who rarely watches boxing but tuned in for Rios/Alvarado 2. I'm sending him the link to the first fight on youtube, trying to hook a new fan.

That's a good way to do it. I've hooked a few of my friends showing them Foreman vs. Lyle, Gatti vs. Ward (1 and 3), and Castillo vs. Corrales 1.

Don't get me wrong, I am a pure fan of the sport. I can appreciate the epic skill set had by Mayweather, Broner, etc... I really enjoyed watching "Sweet Tea" Crawford make Prescott swing and miss all night... but Don't sit there and **** on guys like Rios and Alvarado going to war. Those are the fights that really bring out true warrior spirit in the face of adversity. Two guys at the end who can't even do the post fight presser because they both have to go to the hospital... "The Thrill of Victory, the agony of Defeat" like the old ABC Wide World of Sports intro... The most drama will bring the most new fans to the sport. :deal

I believe Nelson actually says households not viewers and when people report it they say viewers by mistake
