Goldenboy had offered Romero the fight with Santa Cruiz on May 4th but Santa Cruz now fights Alexander Munoz in a 10 rounder.

Makes the Romero fight a real possibility for Frampton.

Hope your right Rob, but I see Frampton defending his European title once or twice.

Wouldn't be the end of the world. His mandatory is Scott Quigg and the fight has also been ordered by the BBBofC.

Could fight Alexander Bakhtin for the European or Jeffery Mathbuela could be for the Commonwealth and both could be IBF final eliminators.

Bit too early for my liking, I'd rather it came in early 2014 after a couple more decent tests.

  5. All three fights mentioned there would be extremely tough even before world shot, but I think given time he is capable of mixing top level bakthin, quigg, mathbuela would be excellent prep and good Belfast main events

I think he's ready for Romero. One or 2 defences then a massive showdown with Scort Quigg early 2014

They ain't going to rush into anything. Why take on a tough fight when you can milk the irish crowd fighting average opponents defending his European titles? Easy paydays that way and his stock will continue to rise.

Froch is different, he demands top opponents as he is top quality. The others are in absolutely no rush to prove themselves and eddie has been milking them at home. Barker and Rees only went to the US as Broner and Martinez cherry picked them and losing to them was not going to damage their reputation one bit. Who have Barker and Brook fought that can be considered a threat on these shores? We are seeing it with Burns now. One minute you were all excited that eddie was negotiating with Vasquez when we all knew that was bull****. I look forward to rees fighting a nobody in june then fighting Burns in September. Hey that's how you build up a fighter right? Fight average and journeyman fighters on sky and get paid well for it.

Burns is fighting his mandatory....and thats the only example you have of a fighter milking his hometown support and not progressing as a fighter?

I was personally screaming for Froch to fight Mack. that fight was one the fans wanted.
