I voted for Holy myself. My second best is probably Whitaker. The thing is they fought the best opposition and have amazing resumes. Holy had an amazing career at CW, moved up to HW where he fought generally bigger man, beat Bowe, Tyson and did pretty good against Lewis especially in the second fight while being remove from his prime. Fought absolutely everybody that was there and way past his prime out-boxed SNV.

Could you elaborate how Cotto and Haton wins are bull****. They are absolutely great wins.

I think Oscar should be on the list & would have to be a top 2 choice for this topic........his fight log is filled with fighters who were all noted champions Whittaker, Mosley, Trinidad, Hopkins, Sturm, Pacquio, Mayweather, Vargas, Chavez, Camacho, Mayorga, Hernandez, Quartey, Leija, Ruelas, Molina, Gatti - thats a pretty impressive fight log

His fight with Foreman made wonder how he would have done in the Ali era .Truly one of the greatest boxers to ever lace them up .

Ya but if you add those 'welterweight' wins to the good wins Pac already had PRIOR to him becoming a superstar.. that's an ATG resume though?

People really do forget how good Pac AND Floyd were prior to their superstardom.

I'm actually aware I look at his career as split, I think Floyd and Manny made it and got scared

Don't take my word for Pacquiao-Cotto being bull**** see what Cotto said when offered a rematch at a catchweight http://www.badlefthook.com/2012/9/1/3285612/cotto-vs-trout-pacquiao-rematched-declined-catchweight-150-hbo-boxing-news

Cotto felt a catchweight was so bad for him that he turned down a Pacquiao rematch, this is what I don't get about Pacquiao fans if you don't believe his catchweights and weight playing helped why did he do it?

The thing is most of the people on the forum were favoring Cotto and Hatton in those fights. Cotto weighted 146 against Clottey. He might of been weekend somehow by the catch weight but it was not what made the difference in that fight. It was Pac frenetic speed and footwork. What makes the Hatton win great is that he fought him at his best weight and sent him into a mini coma. I rooted against Pac in every single fight of his I watched but he was an amazing fighting machine.

The more I think about it, the more I am convinced I casted the wrong vote.

I should not have voted for Whitaker..

1- His name is Lennox Lewis

    not

Lenox Lewis you stupid ****ing mis spelling *******.

2- Lewis is a top 5 ATG HW. Heavyweight is the premier division in boxing.

3- Tell me who you consider ranked higher than Lewis? I will dissect their resume and ensure you they are not.

    4- Lewis ruined careers.
So many potential Hall of Fame fighters ruined by LL.

5- So many of Lewis's wins are underrated.

    Think about these two wins.

    Mason 35-0 100% KO Ratio
    Tucker 48-1.

These two guys have a combined record of 83-1

6- What do you mean 'h2h"?

H2H Lewis kills everyone on that list dude. A Prime Lewis jab will lay Floyd the **** out into death. The air from Lewis's right hand will probably KO Pacquioa

and the trust of Lennox's pelvis will probably shatter Roy's chin.

    Lennox Lewis vs Andrew Golota

    Pre Fight 'predication'

"Golota will turn the fight into a war. he can take a shot. Lewis will try to keep his distance but won't be able to for long. Golota KO" - Robert Seltzer, El Paso Times.

"Golota will put too much pressure on Lewis, who will make the mistake of slugging it out with him." - Steve Sneddon, Gannet News Service

    My personal favorite
"Golota in two rounds - no contest. I think Lewis talks, but can't back it up with the the walk. Golota will absolutely be too much for him." - Dan Hirshberg, The Trentonian

"Golota will finish off Lewis." - Anthony Gargano, New York Post

Golota is one of a kind, Lennox is very over rated.Golota will force Lewis into his kind of a fight, and his power will be the determining factor in the bout." - Dave Bontempo, ESPN Boxing Analyst

"It'll be close through four, and then Golota hits and hurts Lewis in the fifth with a booming right. He then proceeds to wear Lewis down for a ninth-round win." - Chris Thorne, Newark Star-Ledger

Andrew Golota will end Lennox Lewis's career, he got frightening power and will destroy Lewis-

extremely confident that the Andrew Golota who clearly dominated both Riddick Bowe bouts would take out the weak-chinned Lennox Lewis. A new era begins.

Are you kidding me, holyfield by a country mile. He fought EVERYONE and did well against most at the very least.

From the Classics section of Eastsideboxing.

Keep in mind the Classics section is full of nostalgic old ****s that hate modern heavyweights ... yet they STILL have this to say about Lennox.

ESB CLASSICS QUOTES ON Lennox Lewis:

    Resume

It is up there among the best.

    I think it's a top2 resume alongside Ali

LLs resume is 2nd or 3rd greatest of all heavyweights.

    Ali is at number one

For me he has risen to be a top 5 heavy. I think that at his best he'd be hell for pretty much anyone, in my mind the only truly great SHW there ever was

there is a clip of Bowe stepping to Lewis after Lennox calls him out after a fight. Lennox gets ready to go, right then and there.

If a sparring partner was getting too rough with elbows and low blows, Lennox would get MEAN. He had his own arsenal of old school tricks, and as the employer, he got to use as many of them as he wanted if you pissed him off.

Not saying he was Mike Tysonesque, or anything. He just had a very hard streak underneath the gentleman exterior. Very, very much a fighting man.
