Rigondeaux NEVER said anything about slanted eyes , all he did was call Nishioka a " chino " wich is an expression that ALL cubans of ALL races ( including cuban asians ) use , it has nothing to do with " race " and all that bull**** you guys in the States are used to . If anything the word " chino " or " china " ( if you're refering to a female ) is used in Cuba as a romantic COMPLIMENT between couples ( like in the USA the use the word " dear " ) , other word we use in the same way is " Negro " ( black ) or its variant " Negrito / Negrita " ( female ) , as I said these two words are used in a affective manner ONLY ( the oposite to the United States that due to their Anglo-Saxon culture is a racist society ) among lovers or friends , NEVER in a prejudiced manner . I dont know from where that fanboy Milipitas got that lie about " slanted eyes " or whatever . Guillermo Rigondeaux is one of the HUMBLEST human beigns I know , the problem is that he is so confident about his boxing skills that he sometimes comes across as boasfull or arrogant if you dont know him ( if you haven't follow his career from the begining like us you'll be alright ) . The truth is that we cubans LOVE asians ( especially chinese ) becouse of their BIG contribution to our culture , from music to food , and their bravery in combat during our wars of independence two centuries ago . To all noncubans outthere that think cubans are racist like the Americans remember this : Cuba = Europe + Africa + China ( the country ) , that's the perfect mix . ( No Indians , there are no Indians in Cuba ) . Peace .

 

The only thing I wish is that Rigo had more experience. One thing Donaire should not do is underrate this young man.

 

I'd love nothing more than to see Rigondeux layed out on the canvas; spasming like an infantile ****** after a devastating Donaire lefthook. I don't think it will happen though. Rigo can take a punch better than expected.

 

I can't wait for this fight. Being Irish means I will have to stay up until 4 am but I would say this is the most desirable fight in boxing right now after GGG V Chavez Jr which I hope follows after.

I respect both these great warriors. They both deserve credit for facing each other.
If only other divisions would follow suit we could see more great match ups.

Not at all , Montiel in his prime was a great fighter , only he lacked a bit of defence , that's why he got caught by Nonito , he should have seen that punch coming or at least prepare for it but he didn't and the rest as they said is history , Rigo won't make that mistake , he's been very well schooled and his defense is top notch . Btw IB ¿ is there any thread on the betting section about this fight ? , I looked around and there was none , I'd like to bet on that fight . Peace .
