Very good post. You are right at looking at what fighters do at certain weights and as you note those fighters havent done too much at the weight You said it all there when you said you dont know who some of the fighters were. Well if you dont know, dont comment. You only know now due to advertising from the S6, but Dirrell has done less at SMW than many of the fighters who you dont know the name of It is wearing sometimes
So do you think Kessler was prime when he fought Ward after not fighting a world rated SMW for 3 years and having eye problems? Or prime with those conditions coming off a loss to Ward and fighting Froch. Agreed Give it a rest Dino, you get it wrong so often that it becomes boring Good call. I should do the same, but always try and give people a chance, even when they are like Dino and get schooled on a daily basis
This content is protected Can someone explain how Pascal, Dirrell, Taylor, Johnson, Mack are good SMW wins? They havent done anything at the weight. Nothing. Abraham isnt a top SMW either. I thought he lost the first fight to Steiglitz and then did lose the return and how many posts were on ESB saying Steiglitz was the worst champ etc. Many on here even said Bute was a fighter that never did anything and never stepped up and not a top champ. I actually think Frochs win over Bute was excellent, but just look at how people have changed their posting to suit. As said Bute was a top win and the first SMW champ that Froch beat, before that it was vacant titles. Now tell me how Pascal, Dirrell, Taylor, Johnson, Abraham, Mack are good SMW wins? Except for Abraham having a disputed and hard fought win over a fighter that many called the worst champ, The others havent done anything at the weight. Nothing. Remember how Sheika beat prime SMW Johnson to get a shot at the champ Calzaghe, which shows how the division has got weaker when in order for Froch to get a shot at champ Ward, he had to fight old, boiled down, past best Johnson that Sheika beat when prime. Thats should say everything Someone explain how the fighters listed are a better win than Reid, Woodhall, Veit 2, Lacy, Kessler, Eubank, Mitchell
In to protect your little sister as usual because he aint man enough to defend himself.....Why are you talking about the Kessler who fought Ward? Do you know what year we're living in....Kessler was happy to go to Oakland because he thought he could beat a green Ward...Why would he fight if he was injured?....Its only you who claim he was injured...Fact is Ward handled him a lot better than Joe did.
Why is Woodhall a good win?. How did losing his belt to Marcus Byer earn him a shot at Joe? He never fought again after his loss to Joe. Its a **** win.....Viet never beat a top SMW in his life. Another **** win.
Froch already has a better resume. Calzaghe has one of the worst resumes I have ever seen for a supposed ATG.
Watching film on fighters shows us so much more than what their records on the internet show us, which is why no one respects your opinions Bailey.
Hagler has no SMW resume, none. But I would still expect Hagler to destroy SMW legend Sven Ottke aswell as title holders such as Lacy, Bute, Mitchell, Brewer, Woodhall, Reid. Matter of fact, Tocker Pudwill has accomplished more at SMW than Marvin Hagler:- Pudwill has been a challenger for the SMW title on two occasions, Marvin Hagler never came close to challenging for the SMW title, but I would still expect Hagler to batter Pudwill at 168.
Woodhall and Calzaghe were going to have a unification but Woodhall lost a close tough decision to Beyer, so they were already going to fight. Woodhall was a good win as he was rated #3 SMW, had beaten world rated SMWs in Branco who became a LHW world champ, which is irrellevant here, and beat prime G Johnson, beat future WBC SMW champ Catley, beat WBC champ Malinga, beat world rated former SMW champ Nardiello. Same could be said about Froch beating Abraham as he was coming off a loss and then lost clearly again after that, or even more could be said with old G Johnson. Veit beat undefeated Braehmer who was a world rated SMW, beat world rated Brewer and won the int world title, as well as holding some reasonable wins. Put it this way, Veit has a better SMW resume than around half of the current top 10 SMWs, and Calzaghe beat him away in Germany. Still nobody is willing to answer the questions below This content is protected Can someone explain how Pascal, Dirrell, Taylor, Johnson, Mack are good SMW wins? What a back out to answering the questions. By watching the fighters the majority felt Bute would beat Froch, the majority thought Lacy would have beaten Calzaghe, and if those fights didnt happen and Froch and Calzaghe had retired instead, then the general feeling would most likely have been that they wouldnt have beaten those respective opponents, but we know that watching them on film didnt mean a thing until they got in the ring
Hagler never fought at SMW so there is nothing to go on in how to rate him or how you think he would do. The fighters I have asked the questions about have all fought at SMW and not done well, so your point is of no relevance to the question I asked in - Can someone explain how Pascal, Dirrell, Taylor, Johnson, Mack are good SMW wins? Now tell me how Pascal, Dirrell, Taylor, Johnson, Abraham, Mack are good SMW wins? Except for Abraham having a disputed and hard fought win over a fighter that many called the worst champ, The others havent done anything at the weight. Nothing. - As those fighters have all tried to compete at SMW in either title fights or eliminators. Hagler never did that. So the question stands in what I was asking in that other post
