I think Arum wanted to make sure Rigo stayed undefeated and knew Donaire would move up so Nonito was told NOT to mention Rigo. People took that as a duck. When GBP wouldn't let Mares fight on HBO Rigo became the only good opponent left at 122. That plus I think Nonito wanted the fight and was now in a position to start making demands on Arum/TR.

Yeah Rigondeaux is a clear cut #2 at 122. It's going to be a great fight that will be competitive for a while but in the champion rounds Donaire will start to impose his power and get that KO.

Why wouldn't people like what Floyd said.....it's pretty obvious Rig is not on level with Nonito at this stage of his career....The fight was forced a little too quickly in my opinion and if Rig loses the way I think he will....It could derail his career for a good while, if not indefinitely. Rig should have stayed busy...improved his pro game and then faced Nonito when he would be a lot more experienced at this level.

Rigondeaux needed to take the fight right now because Donaire is moving up to 126 after this fight. Plus who else is Rigondeaux going to fight?

He can fight whoever! He's only got like 11 fights which means he's still green as a pro. Rig could move up in a couple of years and he could improve his record, marketability and stock by racking up decisive wins in building up a MEGA fight with Nonito. But I'll take it.:bbb

Yeah I get you but this fight is set and it will be a great fight, it seems like its taking forever to get here.

That is a pretty safe prediction for Floyd.
