Marquez,Morales, Barrera vs Sal Sanchez. Which of the 3 had the best chance to.dethrone Sanchez??? Obviouslly Sanchez would be favored, but to claim JMM,Morales or MAB had no chance is blasphemy. They were ATG'S in there own rights. Part of the mystique of Sal was he retired undefeated, which is great but he died so young he did not have the oppurtunuty to taste defeat. He had some ATG wins against Nelson & Gomez. How would the fights play out?????? Im not saying he would not be favored against the 3, BUT IMO if he fought the TRIo, 1 of the 3 would best him.

lol They'd all lose to Sanchez.
JMM, Morales and MAB were ATG's, but Sanchez was a H2H brute. Top 10 or Top 15 all time in terms of head to head ability.

Next best thing: let's have Ivan Morales vs. Sal Sanchez III, the former moving up and the latter down to meet @ bantamweight! :bbb

Sanchez would be favoured over all 3 of his fellow Mexican greats, none of them would be an easy fight for Sal but he`s more complete & versatile than any of them, he`s one of the best boxers in history, period, so no shame in losing to Sanchez. Morales might give him the most trouble, he has the height & reach & has the best jab & lateral movement of the 3, assuming he fights that kind of fight that is, Morales is Morales though & he might choose to go to war instead.

He's not beating any of them "easily" in their primes.

I just re-watched the Nelson-Sanchez fight last week, that was one helluva war and a coming out party for a very young Azumah Nelson. Watching Sanchez go back and forth with him was incredible to see.

I favor Sanchez against all of them though, probably the closest fight that could go either way would be a prime Morales.

Morales has the best shot out of the three. Gtfo of here fools. Morales would have thugged it out hardcore with Wilfredo Gomez too. Guy was an absolute tank, and had really nice power 122/126

When I found out Morales had a little brother that boxed, I made a thread about it out of complete happiness. No one commented on it.

I would have if I`d seen it :D

I`ve seen highlights of him fight, he`s a southpaw, looks similar to Erik, maybe a bit less power but that can grow.
