I thought David Haye described it well. I can't find the interview but he pretty much said that Vitali isn't a big puncher and doesn't have one punch power like Wlad does, but he's able to KO so many guys because he's able to land so many punches and they accumulate.
solid/good his shots don't look like they carry much because he throws mostly arm punches, but if a 240 lbs monster with an above 85% KO ratio hits you, it has to hurt
people are obsessed with 1 punch power too much A guy who is better at throwing combinations will usually always be the superior fighter. 1 punch power is overrated too. If your good at throwing a multitude of punches not only does that bring your opponent down but it also gives you a nice defense.
He has the highest ko percentage in boxing... have u ever been in a ring? It's ridiculous comments like ur's that keep this site from being much better.
He won his first 27 straight by early KO. After his surgeries he switched to accumulation style. Very good power.
ATG Power. But this also clearly shows Lewis's underrated chin. Old 260 Pound SHOT Lewis stood there for 3 rounds and blocked Prime Vitali's power punches with his face.. smiled and went to work for the next 3.. ripping off VK's face on route to tko6. This also confirms that Rahman landed a lucky punch on Lennox. Rahman had his eyes closed and stepped on Lewis's foot.
Overrated power. It's good, no doubt about that. But nowhere close to his brothers'. Vitali wears people out with his physical strength and consistent work rate. Not his one punch power, or even his power at the end of combinations. His stoppages are just a matter of his opponents not able to continue through getting beaten so badly, not from being hurt very badly.
Solid/good right now, it has negated since his comeback, before his comeback i would have said very good.
