Not as good as a combination between Sergio, Geale, or Golovkin, but Golovkin/Macklin is at the top of the next best MW fights.

Good fight, Macklin won't lay down for GGG. If he comes to fight smart we should have a good night on our hands. GGG may have a coming out party, Macklin might show GGG to be a hypejob, or it's a tough fought out match from start to end. Any of the three will answer questions needing to be answered, hopefully contracts are signed soon!

Yes decent bout his toughest yet if it happens.Don't know why ppl are taking macklin lightly though,When Serg fought him it was the same thing but I knew Mathew would be hungry tough as nails & he was.I see Golovkin beating him in a 12 rd war maybe even a late stoppage I don't see triple g just walking through like many do though.

 

Macklin's tough and rugged but his style is made to order for Golovkin. He doesn't have the skill set to evade and he's way overpowered with Gennady.

 

You would think more people in a boxing forum would know a little more about boxing. Macklin might be better than everybody you mentioned, macklin actually fought Martinez competively, won rounds, more than I could say for bum Chavez jr, who won a round. Quillin has a glass chin and will get killed by ggg, Pirog is handicapped, please stop bringing him up and over rating him, I like how dumb people in here talk **** about GGG fighting ishida, but Pirog fought him not too long ago and cannot hurt him, if your going to fight GGG you have better have some power so he doesn't walk through you, macklin has proven punching power, Geale is still running along with quillin so stop acting like they are game. I loved listening to barker's promotors on YouTube saying he is the only one being honest in saying no promotor wants to put there fighter with GGG, because he is a monster, he said if you care about your fighter you do not stick him in with ggg. Macklin is a better fighter than chavez jr, watch fights against Martinez and you goofballs that pretend to know boxing my learn something. Chavez jr is **** and so Rubio now, stop propping these **** fighters

 

I love this fight, when GGG beats macklin worse then Martinez , all the ggg haters will all at once feel stupid and realize how little they understand boxing talent, will be a funny day

Good measuring-stick for a fight with Martinez. If he outboxes and knocks out Macklin it would build a lot of interest in a Martinez fight. Martinez is tied up at the moment anyway so it keeps GGG busy and on a similar schedule with him.
