Jones is not greater than Lewis, neither is Pernell.
Mayweather is debatable as is Pacquaio.

But I think you are a Lewis hater.. so I can see how you might twist and downgrade Lewis's resume to suit your hate filled racist agenda.

thats the same reason I prefer pacs resume over holyfield or oscar. both de la hoya and evander had probably better name resume, but they lost far to many bouts.

pac only fought champion or atg material opponents from 2003 to 2012 and only lost 2 times and a 1 draw, if you compare that with oscar who lost 7 times in 9 years. I say 7 because sturm fight was robbery of the year, we all know that =)

Some people out there LITERALLY don't factor in defeats or how a fighter looked in a fight.

In which case those same people better value DeMarcus Corley, Emmanuel Augustus, Ross Purrity, and Zack Page as good as or better than most of the fighters discussed on here.

Roy Jones Jr was NOT greater than Lewis.

He had his chance to prove he was the better fighter but ducked Lennox to fight Ruiz.

    Lewis said

'If Roy wanna come test, I'll take the S off his chest'

Roy had his chance to prove it in a ultimate h2h match up.

The speed and reflexes of Roy vs the strength, heart, skills, power, dreadlocks of Lewis.

But Roy never wanted to fight Lewis despite saying he was superman.

    yep
shame oscar let greed get in the way of another tito fight too

oscar letting $$ get in the way of 'righting a wrong' pretty much dictated how he ran his career after that

That was said BEFORE his fight with Vitali.

After his struggle with Vitali, he knew it was in his best interests to retire. He'd got nothing left to give.

    http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Boxing%3a+BOUT+OF+THIS+WORLD%3b+EXCLUSIVE+IT'S+ON%3a+LEWIS+v+ROY+JONES+Jr...-a0104492164

Roy approached Lennox late 2003, and he told Roy that he definitely wasn't going to fight again, and he'd be announcing his retirement shortly.

    See my previous post.

Lewis said that after the Ruiz fight.

Roy didn't duck anyone to fight Ruiz.

His initial plan was to fight Holy in 2002, and they had a verbal agreement before Holy drew with Ruiz in their 3rd fight late 2001.

After the fight, Roy declined the chance to fight Holy because he didn't have a belt.

So he stayed at 175 for another year, fought a few mandatories, and then tried to negotiate with Hop for a rematch. When it didn't come off, he told his promoter Murad Muhammad to do everything he could to get a Ruiz fight.

So that puts to bed the myth that Ruiz was cherry picked.

No.. the clip was showed BEFORE his fight with Vitali. My uncle was in the back ground. That was actually an interview done PRIOR TO Roy fighting Ruiz.

Fair enough, those exact comments may have been said earlier, but around the time Roy had just beaten Ruiz, and before he struggled against Vitali, he gave a few interviews stating that it's be a step too far for Roy.

    http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Boxing%3a+SUICIDE%3b+If+Roy+ever+thought+about+fighting+me+it+would+be+a...-a098307672

Then after his fight with Vitali, it all went quiet. It gave Roy a lot of confidence the way he struggled with Vitali, and Roy approached Lennox, because of the comments he'd made (like the one you've mentioned earlier in the year.) He told Roy he knew it was time to let go, and he definitely wasn't going to fight again. If he hadn't have retired, I'm sure the fight would have been made.

There was a video of Roy speaking about it on YouTube, but I don't think it's there anymore.

    ****in hell

I'd say it's either Manny Pac or Lewis. DLH would be up there but he lost alot of his big fights. It most defineatly is not Roy Jones.
