When did entrance music start being used in ringwalks?

    I'll take your word for it. I don't know the answer. I know it was used for a really long time in pro wresting. I would have thought boxers would've picked it up in the 60s.

    I really think it began post-Rocky '76-'77. My God, it seemed like everyone was playing the Rocky theme everytime someone got in the ring.

    I first seen it in Los Angeles in the late '50s when mariachi's (Mexican band) would accompany Mexican fighters down the aisle at the Olympic Auditorium.

    I know that when me dad fought Olivares he entered to the Grenadier guards and Olivares came in to a Mariachi band.
