    Who Wins?

Would it be on Setanta Sports or Sky Box Office???? (Calzaghe was on Setanta)

I cant think of a way Froch beats Calzaghe. Calzaghe would win every round. Faster , more skilled , better defence , better boxing brain , more adaptable.

The only things to argue for Carl is power and chin.

Not enough against what Calzaghe brings

As much as I like Froch, Calzaghe was in a different league. Britains Best

Did that fight show us anything new from Froch? Calzaghe beats any version of Froch. It's not as if Froch was transformed into some super saiyan that night. People just overestimated his opponent.

:verysad I mean, we are sad ****s to be on this forum anyway, but you know your life is double ****ed when you wish to discuss on which channel a fictional fight would have been on had it happened.

Calzaghe would've been retired 4 years so I'm backing Froch here.

And it would've definitely been on sky box office.

This has already been done a load of times.

Calzaghe's style is Froch's worst nightmare.

Calzaghe would just box the ears off Froch and it would not even be close.

Not sure why anyone would start to go overboard on Froch after the Bute fight .... Bute is still to prove that Froch beating him has any substance at all.

I honestly don't think Calzaghe would shut out Froch bad! He's just too fast, too athletic, too gifted! and he has a by far great workrate than Froch!

I still think Calzaghe could beat Froch if he came back now!

Look at Calzaghe's last two fights he was dropped by Hopkins and a over the hill Roy Jones Jnr. Now I'm not saying for one minute that Froch is better than a prime Roy Jones but he's better than the Roy Jones that fought Calzaghe. I just feel if Hopkins and Roy Jones can put Calzaghe down so can Froch and usually when Froch drops someone he finishes them off. I think that Froch is one of the best finishers in boxing because when he senses he's hurt somebody he doesn't let them off. He doesn't rush things either look at the finishing of Taylor and Bute he took his time and made sure he finished his opponent off rather than going mental and missing with lots of punches and punching himself out!

but Calzaghe then went on to win every round against Jones. He also went on to get a decision over Hopkins. Anyone can be dropped, but was he really hurt? Look at Marquez. He's been dropped plenty of times but never been stopped. Always seems to recover well (unlike say Khan who gets dropped and his legs are like jelly for a long time afterwards). Calzaghe was not in serious trouble against either Jones or Hopkins. He's way too complete a fighter for Froch. No way Froch stops him. Froch is no KO artist either. He has decent power, but like Tony Bellew, the bark is worse than the bite.

Im a huge fan of both great fighters but Calzaghe would utterly dominate Froch. Froch loves to take a shot to get inside and land his shots, against Calzaghe he would eat 3 sharp jabs and Joe would be gone. Joe is just better than Carl in literally every department.

Stamina, punch output, defence, Skills, Ring IQ, Both have a granite beard.

Prime for Prime (The Joe that beat Lacy v The Carl that beat Bute) Carl wins 1 round if it goes the distance which i think it would.

    Calzaghe wins a 116-112 decision.

Froch has the better resume though.

Calzaghe is all wrong for froth and unless he fought frochs fight and got dragged into a war there's no way for froch to beat him, even if he did get dragged into a war he would probably still win it anyway. I'm a big froch fan but calzaghe was just too fast for him.
