There is no competition between Sky and BoxNation though. Sky don't care about boxing and if they did, they'd give Hearn 50 dates a year and they'd outbid BoxNation on every international card. The fact is though, BoxNation only manage to pick up these big events because Sky are no longer interested in the sport.

As promoters, Hearn is miles ahead of Frank. There is no comparison.

Can this really happen? Because as the host of prizefighter and promoter he should be there? But he also has to be at brooks fight a couple hours later. Wont happen imo.

The Barker card was shite and got poor viewing figures, the Bellew card was better but Bellew as a ticket seller and as somebody that can headline a card took a major knock because of his actions and performance, Burns opponent hardly excites even the nuthuggers and Eddie continues to inflict the pain of prizefighter on the paying public. That's hardly riding high.

I don't mind Prizefighter as it provides low level fighters a chance to earn a brilliant payday and it can be a fun night, but even if I hated it, the fact it brings in casual fans would be enough reason for me to defend it. Even if it was the shittiest boxing show imaginable and it never provided good fights, if it was what casual fans wanted and it made boxing more popular, it'd be a positive thing.

Boxing fans are deluded. Whilst the sport is at a nearly all-time low for popularity they expect promoters to be able to produce miracles.

    Well said! ;)

  12. Is anyone confirmed
    I'd like
    Danny price(time to step up)
    Wadi camacho(made for prizefighter)
    Shane mcphilben(will have to punch)
    Matty askin
    Stephen simmons

And a few novices to make a name for themselves
No chance of Dawson, conquest, vassily but hopefully Simmons gets out

And ******s domestic card of the year shows how poor the big shows have been with Hearn
And Frank not coming up with the goods, but for me frampton-kiko was cracking and price-Thompson was good.froch-kessler should do them all

  13. Yes im aware of all that, it doesnt take away from the fact hes considered No 1 in the UK and thats a first for him.

riding high it most certainly is! Not saying he isnt open to criticism.

Askin is fighting China Clarke on the Matchroom Blackpool card on the 20th of April, I doubt either of them will be involved in this PF.
