Murray loses to Martinez, Macklin loses to Golovkin, Barker loses to Chavez Jnr. Especially if there all by stoppage?

    Matter in what sense?

They won't be significant in terms of any of the respective fighters going for 'world' titles, but I'd think they would still matter to British boxing fans. They would certainly still have my attention.

Of course they will. They'll have no where else to go.

And to answer the question, yes of course it will. They'd still all remain in the same bracket anyway so fights between them all would still be interesting to watch.

Of course they will. All of those guys are Euro/ fringe world class, not winning world titles is no shock and it'll still be interesting who the top of the pile is domestically.

The fights will matter more to them than the fans if you know what I mean, if they lose their next fights. Although they would all still be relevant fights and could sell a few tickets.

Macklin is Irish, so there will still be an international element when the three hopefully fight each other. They should really be fighting each other anyway, although the pay is probably better as tune up opponents for world class fighters.

    What if they all win??

I say go for a 3 way ladder match with the ring magazine belt suspended from the ceiling.

Seriously, I reckon they all lose and only Barker v Lee happens as far as domestic showdowns, Macklin will play plastic paddy in the states and Murray will build into a decent contender again via the European title route.

Won't matter in terms of the title picture but they'd still be great fights. I'd still watch them, even if I was able to see into the future and found out that none of them will ever win a world title in their careers (I believe at least one will).

Macklin is the most exciting and probably the smartest fighter of the three.

Barker is the most skilful and probably the most naturally gifted.

Murray's the toughest and most old-school and probably has the biggest heart.

I'd bet on two of them winning a world title at some stage, even if it's only a short reign. At least one of them will win one for definite.

Will the fights still have that significance? If the overall winner doesn't come out and is in contention for a world title?

By the time they've all been beat and fought each other there will no doubt be more opportunities at World Title level. I think these "lesser" fights will actually prove to be quite significant.

True enough, I meant more play the Irish angle over there. Cant blame him, i'd walk round New York and Boston playing the bag pipes if I was an Irish pro. They fookin lap it up over there.
