Donaire has fought the tougher and better comp than Rigo. Sometimes form gives us some indication of what to expect in the fight.

Rigo has only fought 3 quality opponent, Berranza, Cordoba, and Maraquin all of which Donaire would destroy.Rigo struggled at times in these fights.

Rigo sometimes telegraphs his punches. If Donaire can figure this guy out and start to time and land on him.

Goodnight, Irene! Which will happen. Donaire tKO8

Watched the Marroquin fight and I hope that Rigo will be performing a lot better. The Donaire people are smart to be taking the fight now - perhaps they think Rigo's stock is as high as it's ever going to be. I hope they're wrong and that Rigo surprises us. I'm sure he is one of those fighters who performs better the better the opposition.

I think Rigondeaux got himself into a Gamboa-Salido situation with Marroquin. People bashed Gamboa after going 12 tough rounds with Salido thinking Salido was not as good as he showed after the fight. Marroquin is a good fighter, and was a good Amateur aswell, with wins over Adrien Broner and Gary Rusell jr.

I feel like Gamboa-Farenas is another similar situation.

Hell, even Gamboa-Barros situation. Barros went on to beat Caballero. Gamboa has fought some good opposition.

I hope you are but I think that if Donaire had been there with Rigo and Rigo was reacting the same way as against Marroquin, Donaire would have closed the show. He was so open for that left hook!:!:

Just watching the NY press conference now. I love how real Rigo keeps it.

This is what I find so surprising about some of these great fighters, how real they can keep it one minute and how flashy and cocky they can appear the next minute. Top boxers deep down have to be modest people, working so bloody hard and staying so disciplined. But they are also proud warriors, proud men, and the flashyness and cockiness, their gregariousness sometimes shines through.

Someone was saying Rigo and Nonito disliked each other. Is this true? If so, why? Any vids??:p

from the interviews, donaire is obviously very nervous and upright/rehearsed rigo is straight up relaxed and confident

I fully expect them to fight how they act. Donaire has tons of pressure on him and I except him to drown in this fight.
