Mayweather being the much smaller man is also a liability. Hearn's power could easily come into play befor his "glass jaw" came into play. Hearns as far as I know was stopped just twice against Leonard in the 14th and to Hagler who had been at 160 longer than Hearns and used to the weight.

Robinson did not carry Gavilan.. let's just stop that nonsense now.. it's a discredit to a great WW who already had his fair share of discredit with bs decisions in his career. There was no carrying going on there.

Floyd has no chance... Hearns.. offensively has a chance but no, just no overall.

The only fighters I would give the best odd to would be SRL.. after that... I think fighters like Montreal Duran.. Hearns.. might do the trick. I know it's unpopular but I honestly believe Whitaker could give SRR a could fight. Whitaker had a iron chin and nobody outskilled Whitaker.. EVER. Make him the favorite no.. SRR walk all over Whitaker, just a big a no.

Marcel Cerdan is an attractive bet.

Those who were close to the bruising middleweight swore he was better at 147lbs - that bit quicker and more agile.

Cerdan possessed the right cocktail to give a prime Ray Robinson all he could handle. The Frenchman was picture-perfect, fierce and economic - think Barrera in the first Morales fight, now feed him some of Popeye's spinach.

Ray would need his legs here (the man with greater defensive hang-ups) to jab Marcel's forehead and, hopefully, walk him onto slicing bolos. However, fifteen rounds is 45 long minutes and during that time Cerdan would be forcing exchanges, keeping his chin pinned to his chest and react to the pace rather than condemn himself to a plan.

If Robinson's to win, he'll do well to look convincing.

SRL might turn the trick one out of every three or four times.

He did pretty well against Duran in the later rounds, and it wasn't just because Cholo took the pedal off the medal. Plus he turned up the heat and stopped Hearns late in the first fight.

To believe this is because you have never seen the sleek and elegant killer welterweight Ray Robinson in his prime.....
