No, it's because Harrison is 35 years old, fought just twice in 7 years against two no marks, has probably drank gallons upon gallons of ale which will have ****ed his liver, has been in and out prison almost all that time in both the UK and Spain so he won't have been training and most importantly of all, he's already been sentenced to 4 years in another jail and any appeal is likely fruitless. Seriously, putting this fella in any sort of big fight is a waste of time and potentially dangerous for his health. Plus it would it make British Boxing look a laughing stock.
The Mitchell knockdown was more a perfectly timed shot rather than a power shot by Burns. Burns hit Mitchell with the left hook as Mitchell went for a huge left hook, doubling the impact. Ricky's strength has increased so so will his power, but he'll never be a KO type fighter. IMO there's no point in Burns ruining all his good work under Billy by going for knockouts more often. He'll know himself what to do when he feels out his opponent. I get what your saying tho :good
Harrison never fought any of they guys bud. He never proved himself against any of them. Harrison never fought an elite fighter, neather has Burns.
haha genius lol ppl thinkin harrison gony do anyhin big in boxn are seriously deluded guys a fukin joke stop livin in past and lickin his arse
The reason he never fought them was because his promoter never made the the fights happen, Marquez and the Pac man both wanted it as did Scott. Sometimes these kind of fights are hard to make when rival promoters are involved.
Well said mate, I hear Scott is looking phenomanal in training, there's going to be a lot of people with egg on they're face. I think BN problem is he knows that if Scott wins, it will be the biggest story in boxing for some time, taking some of the lime light away from his man.
My point is - You cant praise Harrison for being in a division full of great fighters if he never fought them. The fact he was Ranked in a stacked division holds no weight if he never competed with any of them in the ring!!!!! Lets not forget the fact - HE NEVER DID AT ALL!!!!!!!!! All those great fighters in that division while he was there and the best he fought was Chacon, Polo, Madina, Brodie, blah, blah. Harrison vs Chi would have been ****ing epic but even that wasnt him fighting 'the best'. Sorry bud, i love me some Scotty but he's no Ken Buchanan for Ricky to be worried about in terms of 'resume' n all that. :good
sum ppl on here need reality check goin on about harrison as if hes sum god of boxin laughable ppl sayn cudhav fot jmm or manny christ this bak years ago hes 35 bee in and out jail god nos how many times prob goin bak soon first 2 fights in 7 years against 2 bums looked shockin stop makin excuses in his prime yes was a gd fighter but let it go any decent level fighter should take him in 8 rounds
lets b honest liam walsh aint top level not heavy handed if he kos scott hopefully tht will be it done
It wouldnt surprise me if Harrison smashes Walsh. I dont care what anybody says, im looking forward to the fight big time! Walsh is no ****ing mug but if Harrison is even half prime were talking a huge scrap :bbb A prime Scott Harrison would leave the likes of Walsh looking like a pile of wallpaper paste :yep
S77 answer this question, based on both Ricky and Scott's last fight which dept do you think Scott would have an advantage? Because i personally cant see one or even close to one, even in Scott's prime Ricky would beat him. Rickys so so much quicker, faster feet, better defence and punches harder. Scott was a super strong fighter at FW only coz hed ballon up to 10st 7lbs going into the ring that obviously gave him a massive advantage on fight night, however doing the weight for so long had a major effect near the end of his world title reign and imo wont get away with that now. Scott is simular to Ricky in the gym they work particularly hard but Ricky is by far in the way the more natural athlete,Scott had to train 3 times a day just to make the weight. Ive never seen anyone put a shift in like Ricky on a daily basis
