In the opening moments of tonight's "Real Sports" piece about Tyson's one-man show, Goldberg asks "are you a thespian?"

TYSON: "I don't know about that."

GOLDBERG: "I'm not talking about your sexuality. I'm talking about thespian, being an actor."

TYSON: "Thespian is named after one of the first actors in the world, named Thespis."

Goldberg shrugged it off by making a joke about being verbally "KO'd," but that's a rookie mistake. Was he the only journalist in the world who didn't know that Tyson is pretty well-read and much brighter than he seems?

Good for Mike that he just so casually put that guy in his place. I liked hearing about the story, brother Ottke, but I'm afraid most people aren't really interested in this type of thing anymore. They'd rather waste their time with piddly****s. :verysad

Yeah Mike was never an unintelligent thug like the media wanted him to be but occasionally he would indulge them.

first of all Mike's response to the question was worded incorrectly, which lead to the interviewer clarifying his question.

    "I dont know about that"

The correct response is either an affirmative or negative, yes or no.

The interviewer was not being condescending.

he was convicted of **** and acted like a thug for his entire professional career.

The media had no role in either things.

Mike's voice makes him sound unsmart. He's a classic case of don't judge a book by its cover.
