I am curious as to why Marquez is refuseing to give Pacquiao a rematch? Pacquiao gave Marquez three rematches and after beating him, he still gave Marquez another rematch. Now, Marquez won but is reluctant to give Pacquiao the rematch. It has to be that he is just being a coward and is scared he will lose again. I kow it's not the money, he has been offered millions. Just a yellow stripe down his back. Too bad, I would love to see five. It will be a shame to see him remembered as the little yellow belly. dorjbrun
Because the rematches were given to settle the rivalry as they were so even. This win put an end to all needs for rematches.
How exactly is Marquez scared of someone he fought 3 times? And when did Pac ever give Marquez an immediate rematch? It was 4 years in between one rematch, 3 years between another, and Pac elected to take an interim fight before the last rematch.
Still doesn't take away the fact that Pac fought him. If I had 1 draw and 2 razor close decisions over a guy that I struggled with.. I'll be damned if I fight him again. 2nd biggest draw in boxing and can draw with anybody, why would I? Pac put him down 3x in one fight, once in another, JMM didn't even put him down until the 4th fight... Not like he got a one sided beatdown in any of the three fights and had to redeem himself. The third fight JMM probably edged it out, but the fight I saw wasn't nearly as controversial as people made it out to be. I blame Arum. Just look at Brandon Rios and Alvarado. Rios beats Alvarado with a 7th round TKO, and could move on to better things with bigger $, and instead Arum makes a rematch? For Rios to lose this time and take a lot of shots. Don't make sense to me...
^ ****** old troll hand edit - Thats why he did it. so he can tell his grandkids - that was myyyyyy hand
Roid Manuel Marquez got away with it and knows he got lucky and is quitting while ahead. He knows in his heart he won getaway with it again. sort of like when Lewis knew he dodged a bullet vs Vitali and retired.
Pac didn't give Marquez anything. Pac needed to have those rematches to redeem himself because a lot of boxing fans thought he lost 2 out 3 of those fights. The first fight was a Draw. The last fight was their fight to settle things and Marquez knocked Pac out cold. He doesn't owe Pac a damn thing.
Marquez has already fought Pac several times. And Pacquiao made Marquez wait for every rematch. Why exactly is Pacquiao entitled to an immediate rematch? They'll probably end up fighting each other next, but Marquez doesn't owe Pacquiao anything in regards to an immediate rematch.
Yep. He's ran Pacquaio like no one else has for 3 fights, sparkles him beyond any doubt in the fourth, and now has the audacity to insist that he gets a majority share for once, even though most knowledgable fans know a 5th fight is pointless. A real yellow-belly is Juan Manuel Marquez.Just how he'll be remembered. A bit like Pacquaio will be remembered for lying face down on the deck like a drunken bum. And ducking the Saviour Of Boxing of course.
