Definitely made a scapegoat. Why did Enzo Mac only serve a 6 month ban for the same thing?

  3. Whyte,big larry O,enzo,john donnelly,tony dodson

My understanding is that Enzo admitted it was his responsibility in having to personally check everything that went into his body whereas Whyte felt because he bought it in a sports shop that he should not take full responsibility.

I may be wrong but pretty sure that's what was being said on here when the decision was passed.

It's a sad situation for Whyte and I do feel for him, but surely as an elite sportsman you must take full responsibility for everything you eat and drink.

I do feel for him, he probably isn't the brightest bloke. But how hard is it to drum into a professional athlete that they should be taking advice about any medicine or supplement, even something like a lemsip.

He seems to have acted very immaturely in the whole thing.

Hopefully a wake-up call to others

6 months, fine. 2 years is a ****ing joke, especially with Dillians young age and potential. Its not like he went and sourced something illegally, this was a product he bought over the counter. Let the man earn his living

    Disgraceful decision.

People are failing to realise the majority of boxers don't have 'experts' monitoring everything they eat, drink or consume. Footballers for example can have no excuse because EVERYTHING they take is vetted by some dude with a phd. Boxers aren't afforded that luxury, promoters/managers need to sort it out because these scenarios are happening all to often.

Just playing devils advocate here, but could the boxer not ask the board before using something they're not sure on? That way they can always refer back to the board's answer.

  11. If he stays disciplined in the gym and gets good hard sparring then his carear Is still in Front of him,it will be tough mentally for him though

He was clearly on more than what he was caught doing. Anyone with half a brain can see than by the way his body looked

No because the fight which Macrinelli tested posative for was in March, 5 months before it was made illegal and the fight Whyte tested poative for was afterwards. Simple as that.

The stimulant DMAA that is found in Jack3d is not banned outside competition.

Enzo,Dodson,Whyte etc all tested positive in competition where DMAA is not allowed.

Enzo got 6 months, Dodson 5 months and Whyte 2 years. Work that one out.

    Exactly.

There must be a banned list that's available to boxers and their people to review, before taking anything.

Lots of cold remedies contain ephedrine, and some asthma medications are banned.

There are some steroids that would ordinarily be banned that you can actually use, so long as you declare that you are using them. Lots of rugby players have steroid injections for things like popped shoulders, to aid recovery.

As long as you say ''I have taken X, Y & Z steroid'' and why you've taken it, it's alright. Boxing is probably different mind.

    Exactly.

You've got to be personally responsible for what you put in your body.

If you're taking things that are banned, you're guilty and should just admit that you got busted.
