Dawson will fight whoever HBO allows him to. I doubt they'll give the thumbs up to Bellew and I can't blame them.

 

Not ready for chad? He will never be ready mate. He's not even good enough for cleverly who he called the weakest champ in the division and got schooled by him in his home town:rofl. Bellew needs to keep his trap shut and try achieving something in the sport.

 

Well why's Eddie going o do with Bellew, he can only realistically give him one more shot at headlining Liverpool, he's bored everyone to sleep twice now, he can do it a 3rd time as the headline act.

 

That is a problem for Hearn. Bellew has looked pretty limited his last few times out. Will people still believe all of his big talk after the bombast pre-Chilemba?

He's not a particularly likeable character, he doesn't make for fun fights and he's not good enough to beat any of the top guys at 175.

So how does Eddie match him? Pay big in purse bids and hope Dawson vacates so you can swoop in for the vacant title? Face Dawson in what will surely be a loss?

He's probably hoping Dawson cherry picks him similar to martinez fighting barker. Then eddie will be out in force saying how he's fighting the best, amazing opportunity and if he loses it's ok as he wasn't expected to win. Then hope bellew puts up a good performance that makes the American networks take notice, which I doubt!

 

Tony gets frustrated too easily is a big problem. When the better fighters land punches on him more regularly and he's struggling to land, he has a breakdown.

Bellew can't be world-level. He lacks the extra physical dimensions to compete at the top levels. He's not quite quick enough, or powerful enough, or composed enough to deal with a real world-level operator.

He is who he is, for better and worse.

 

had clev winning by two, he also neglected his gameplan and got into a war with tony which was the wrong tactic. Improvements? what has he shown in his fights vs chilemba and miranda for me to consider him someone who could challenge for world titles?

world level fighters aren't made to look pedestrian or amateurish for 12 rounds. hes not world class and never will be.

 

I like Tony, but I said some time ago, he will struggle to do enough to win a world title. I dunno what it is, when the opportunity presents itself in the fight, he takes a step back. He needs to be able to take it, nobody is gonna give it him. If he can change that mentality, he might do something, but I fear he wont, and he will always fall short at the highest level. One time he will do it and live to regret it, if he ignores opportunity's and openings, one time his opponent will make him pay later on in a fight.

Thing is with Tone, after the fights, he complains about things, fact of the matter is, he is in control of his own destiny in the ring, during a fight, and throws it away.

He hasn't got the ruthlessness to be a champion. He has the ability, but not the thing needed to press it and back it up.

Nice guy outside of the ring. But to nice inside it aswell.
