Ive been boxing for just under a year and am a late starter at 31. 32 now and am hoping to get a few am fights in starting october this year. Im 6 4" and just under 15 stone, but cant help feelin a bit light for a heavy weight. All the heavies at my gym are 16-17 stone. Ive been doin kettleball workouts for the last few months and started using nutrisport protein powder and trying to eat a lot more too. I train 4x 1hr a week at my gym,and try to get another couple of hrs in at anther too. Out of the gym ive recently started joggin uphill, and doin sprints a couple of times a week too. I was wondering if anyone has any general advice or tips, nothing specific just looking for some fresh training ideas!

    Thanks.:good

u have two choices. cut to 201, or bulk up to like 220-230. 210 is small for a super heavy, however i believe being in shape would be ideal.

Reckon id be better going up. Was planning on doin the white collar stuff next year and dont think they have a lw division. Wasnt sure if i need to be takin supplements or just eating a LOT more of the right food. True bout bein in shape, the heavies i train with have a bit of fat on em,cant half punch though.:bbb

Thats because they are blown up light heavy. What is white collar boxing? Is that like amateur boxing? I am not really sure. I know I boxing as an amateur and they have a light heavy class. I fight at 178, which would be 12.71 stone(sorry I am not even sure if i used stone correctly I am from the US), which is light heavy. You have some size on you, so I would say as long as you take the punches effectively I wouldnt worry about it bro and would bulk a little up.

Nice1. White collar/unlicensed is normally in nightclubs put on by a promoter with a doc and everything, but not licensed by the british boxing board of control. Seem ok taking the shots but thats sparring! My coach says heavyweight, so rkn i can bulk up to 16 stone (220 pounds.) gettin the right advice on supplements is tricky though. Not 100% sure what to be using. On the low fat/carb high protein shakes atm, they seem ok. Chicken, chicken, and more chicken too!!!

I use whey, and this testosterone booster called tribulus. There are naysayers that claim tribulus isnt a test booster, however my sex drive is insane, which is obvious to me that my test is up.

Im in the same boat as you i weigh about 203-205 and fight at super heavy, I find super heavy is an easier division for me tho... ya the big guys hit hard but its more thudding... and they get tired, i just fight at a high pace and use movement... everyone tells me to drop down to under 201 but im perfectly comfortable at super and so is my coach... in the end thats really what it comes down to, are you comfortable?

I tried tribulus a few years ago. Personally I never noticed a difference in any area.

It really isn't that difficult to get everything you need from foods. The easiest way I found is to eat 5-6 meals a day consuming calorie dense food. Eat lean protein with every meal and have either a large amount of fat or carbs with each meal.

So breakfast for me is P+C - 4 eggs, bowl of oatmeal ans some fruit. That alone is over 650 calories.

A small snack for P+F would be a can of protein and 50g almonds.

That's just how I do it.

Virus, I weight 178 right now. Care to put a meal plan together for me in order to help me drop to 165?
