Of course they are, they are basically cheerleaders for whoever they re told as they are employees, HBO boxing has to make money for them to keep there jobs.

  4. Well they're not doing commentating for fun, everything related to the even is a business; that's something everybody needs to understand. With that said, I didn't notice or at least I can't recall it being that bad. I do agree with Robert about Avarado pulling an Oscar and running.

But Rios was probably the company guy right? Alvarado won fair and square... Rios needs to take his L like a man!!

I'm going to guess the reporter was Steve Kim, it sounds like him, ha he's lucky he's not black otherwise people might actually dislike him. HBO was biased as **** against Bradley but they called Rios-Alvarado very nice, I even liked Lampley for a change cause he mentioned the Abril robbery, which he failed to mention in the first meeting

This. Don't even know why this is an issue. Seriously.

How about having people with no boxing experience on the panel (Kellerman, Merchant, Lampley-who form the majority if not completely the panel each of these fights)? What if we replaced them with boxers? You think these boxers would be any less biased and MORE exciting then a 'BANG BANG BANG BANG?" No they won't because it's been done in the past and boxers let their feelings in the way of biased commentary.

Why not? They're commentating. They are there to generate excitement. 95% of people don't watch for the sweet science, they watch for a knockout.

    Stop beating a dead horse

I think Rios is overrated, and I thought the fist fight had a terrible stoppage but in the rematch there were moments where Alvarado flat out ran, and I don't think he deserved the nod, but than again the first fight didn't end right, so its cool.

    :deal

Its so easy to get enraged at the commentators themselves, but essentially they're puppets on a string

Rios loss a close fight, stop all the bitching!! And he didn't run, he hit and moved.. Only a dummy would stand in front of Rios and trade, after going thru what he did in the first fight. Come up with another game plan, or make adjustments in the fight!!!
