Agreed Farnell wasn't world championship class but he was better then people give him credit for. He could have done a lot more.

He got off the deck to beat ex amateur star Marty reneghan in his second fight Reneghen was unbeaten in 2 and had looked good in his first couple of fights.

Alan Gilbert was a good domestic boxer (stopped in 8), Ian Toby (stopped in three), a then dangerous Howard Clarke (w12), an in form Scott Dixon was stopped brilliantly in 7 (Dixon went on to beat Jamie Moore), Lee Blundell in two (Blundell would go on to stop Ryan Rhodes) plus the Lawrence Murphy win.

Thats a fair domestic resume and for me he was a better fighter then Takaloo. Plus he always came to fight. He would have given Santos a better scrap then Tak managed.

Hmm possibly but i think he may have got KO'ed quicker than Tak. Tak was thoroughly outclassed against Santos. I dont see how Farnell could have done much more other than being more aggresive which would bode well for Santos. Decent domestic pro though.

Tak was average, domestic/Commonwealth class not nearly world. Decent power and could take a shot until he fought Wayne Alex, good fitness, but limited skills and (as one writer once put it) could be outboxed by anything more mobile than a tree trunk.

This thread may be 3 and a half years old  but was he a decent fighter not world class obviously but would he probably been British champ if he'd have got his passport earlier? His brother is making a bit of a name for himself in Music and came across this thread

Yeah Righteous is a good rapper in a land of trap rap he commentates for the streets. Like his vibe. Seems a cool fella..

Imagine starting on him and Takaloo coming along and landing them bombs on you. Damn!. Takaloo was a good fighter, He was hurting Wayne Alexander and could of had other wins but he was fragile. He was your typical shakey banger and provided great entertainment.

He got beat by some good names, He beat some good names. Solid career..

His fight with Alexander should be shown to all youngsters to show that your opponent is always dangerous at all times.

Yes. I mean no offence when i say this (obviously just losing Michael Norgrove) but when Alexander lands that shot you can't help but think Takaloo was lucky not to be seriously injured.

    Sickening punch..

Anyone remeber a football tournament on sky1 that claimed Takaloo was playing for one of the teams, when they interviewed the guy, no way was it him.

A rather poor fighter who did well to engage with other domestic fighters who were equally poor and limited both in talented and skill.

Takaloos impression of a shoulder genuinely made me laugh everytime I watched him fail at it.
