    Apparently Mayweather is saying this fight won't happen with the weight difference and obviously a catchweight won't be an option either. Not sure if Martinez offered to move down to 154 but if Mayweather isn't considering Martinez then it's doubtful he plans to fight the winner of Alvarez/Trout. For a link to this information simply copy/paste the title of this thread to google.

    wouldn't happen because of Floyd's Showtime contract and Sergio has at least 3 fights left on his HBO deal also

    You can't come up with your conclusions like that without at least providing the quote;

    "Sergio Martinez is 160. Floyd Mayweather walks around at 147," Mayweather said Sunday during a media appearance at the Final Four. "Where was Sergio Martinez when I was dominating when I was 21? Nowhere to be found."

    Make of it what you will.

  7. Martinez should grow some ****ing balls and fight men of his own size rather picking on a well muscled lightweight. Don't see Martinez begging for Canelo or GGG.

    Got no problem with Mayweather not fighting Martinez considering the weight differences but saying this type of **** really does my nut in;

    "Where was Sergio Martinez when I was dominating when I was 21? Nowhere to be found."

    Where was Robert Guerrero when you were 21 Floyd :roll:

    I'm ok with the fact that he's not fighting Martinez.
    Martinez at 154lbs = 'He's too old and was drained'
    Martinez at 160lbs = Mayweather walks around at 150lbs and fights at 147lbs, taking on a fighter who will hydrate like a ***** and will be 20lbs heavier than him on fight night....kinda disgraceful but a win would do a lot for Mayweather's ATG ranking.
