    Look at this Sergio-stalker alt.

Sergio wouldn't even fight Canelo at 154, nor Cotto(e). No one with a mind believes he can make 154, you idiot.

He can weigh 157 n a half for Macklin at middle, but wouldn't be able to make 154 for Mayweather? I doubt that.

Again, it's not like Mayweather wasn't going to make the official weight limit. He wasn't going to take the fight if he couldn't make 147. As far as I remember, the blood testing killed negotiations, not Pacquiao's demand of assurance that Mayweather makes the official weight or he's going to fight him regardless though with a penalty involved. Pacquiao was already the smaller man and guaranteed he will still fight if Mayweather fails the weight though wanted to get paid for it. It's not going to be easy to walk away from a highly anticipated fight like that if one fails to make weight. The pressure was going to be overwhelming.

I refuse to get caught up in this again. My opinion has been made clear.

But damn has this thread been entertaining. Keep it going while I watch Louisville whoop Michigan.

As I said, if giving Cotto a 50/50 fight and arguably(to MANY fans and officials) winning then I don't know what is. Pavlik didn't have a title, the fight was at a catchweight.

157 and a half. Get it right.

And Macklin weighed a half pound more, but you know Matt would be **** useless at 154. Martinez would be ****ed at 154, and you know it. But by all means, keep up with the fantasy.

It wasn't FOR his title, but Pavlik HAD a title at the time AND was undefeated with a monster KO ratio. He was relevant.

Clotty was not, and frankly, NEVER HAS BEEN RELEVANT! The guy fought his entire career at 147 and never amounted to ****..... Be ****ing real.

Clottey only was champion once in his career. A win against Zab Judah for a vacant title, and zero successful title defenses........ Such a relevant fighter to take on the "Fighter of the Decade!"

Then why did Roach/manny request $10million per pound over weight limit (something the commission regulates) as well as a smaller ring. I think there was one other thing too. Either way, Floyd agreed to all of those requests, all of which are regulated by the commission...

So Roach/manny can make extraneous demands but when Floyd does it he's ducking?

You mean demanding to use a 25 year old business model, outdoor temp stadiums, that could inject all kinds of variables into pulling off what could be the biggest fight in boxing history? And especially to do so when you KNOW one of the combatants (Mayweather jail time) has a limited window to make the fight?

That doesn't strike you as odd? You good with that?

    Come on, bruh. :nono

Tell me, what exactly is wrong with OSDT. Why is Pacquiao in the right with declining to take them

and of course the penalty didn't kill the fight because Floyd didn't make a big fuss over it. He just accepted the demand to get the fight made. Something Pacquiao should learn

Lol what? You're completely rationalizing here. If Roach/manny get a complete pass, which they do by your standards, for requiring above-commission penalties then why does Floyd get crucified for requiring above-commission drug testing?

It's literally the exact same thing in different form, but you believe one is acceptable and the other isn't. Wat

He was relevant based on his career at middleweight, he wasn't relevant going in against Hopkins because it was a fight where he wanted to prove he can make it up there in hopes of scoring a fight with Calzaghe. Please don't even argue here. You're judging Clottey's relevance based on his performances at 147 only to claim Pavlik was relevant going in against Hopkins because he had belts at 160. By the way, Clottey is a former IBF welterweight champion so he had a belt at some point too. Surely that should improve his relevance to you. Trust me, I always considered Clottey irrelevant and has been a long-time hater of him and his fighting style. Also considered him a terrible fighter for his inability to pull the trigger when necessary. However, going in against Pacquiao he wasn't officially irrelevant based on his performance against Cotto.
