Just happened too often with his shows for people to commit to buying tickets.

Esp if you factor in travel costs, hotel etc.

I bought a ticket for the Burns fight at wembley because my mate has a friend on the undercard. No refund policy & i can't make the 20th so just gave it away being from London no problem. It's the people that had booked to come down from Scotland etc.

Same scenario with the Liverpool show!

Domestically Frank is ****ed. It's great that he gets us all the international shows on BoxNation, but as far as his own shows go he's making a massive **** of things.

It's just people on the internet with an agenda I tell you!

I think he now may be right, except the "people" are just boxing fans, and the "agenda" is simply wanting to see a show announced that isn't cancelled or scaled down to the bare bones 72 hours before.

  7. Smith looked like a Cruiser on Ringside.

Probably for the best in his case.

I have no interest in any of FW's domestic fighter's and neither does he! I would if they werent under him though...

Boxnation will not help to attract more fans as hardly any British fighters fight on it.

Agreed. Frank and BoxNation have been synonymous since the channel has been running, but whilst the international coverage has improved in the past year or so, Frank has gone completely off the boil. He doesn't have any exposure, so he can't sell tickets which means that every show he runs loses money and because he lacks exposure, he can't create a ticket seller. It's a vicious circle for him. What has happened this year tells you everything you need to know about Frank though; two shows, Gavin and Saunders, neither of which was anything special and yet more cancellations. Would anyone be shocked if the April 20th card was called off too?

The Gavin show wasn't even promoted by Frank.

Won't be surprised to learn you can purchase tickets in all sections. Even if it was a really tasty card you can't blame anybody for not trusting a W*rren show and nobody is gonna be sure its happening until the first bout starts on the 20th. Plus this is too big a venue for this card in this location. Cleverly would have trouble selling out the far smaller Motorpoint in Cardiff after his awful 18 months of Karpency and Hawk.

The March 16th show was set up for 6,000 and hadn't sold out. Take Burns v Vasquez and Groves of that card your and your not really adding much to the show. Cannot see how it will do well.
