What difference does it make if how the popular boxer behaves has no bearing on how the sport is viewed? I know this simple idea kills your simple idea but I promise you'll forget about it tomorrow.

I'm wide awake, sweetheart. So keep whining about what could be if Floyd was Albert Einstein mixed in with Brad Pitt.

are you kidding me? Mayweather is perhaps the most intelligent fighter in the game. He may not be "book smart" but he has the highest boxing IQ in the game and enough business savvy to turn himself into the highest paid athlete on the planet. how else can you explain a slick defensive fighter making all the money he does? The guy knew he could make as much money if not more being a heel. Boxing doesnt need less mayweathers . . . it needs more! we need more personalities in the sport not guys like SOG, Pac or the KBROS. who everybody says they want as idols but pay the most to see Money.

Whats worse is that america hypes up bums like Kim Kardashion, Honey Boo Boo, Manny Pacquiao, Tim Tebow, Jeremy Lin and Paris Hilton then hates on guys like FMJ and Lebron just because these dudes are the best of their profession. That's whats really sad. Floyd eats it and shits it. He earned his success. He wasn't given anything. America just hates him because...

    1. He's successful.
    2. Hes an individual and not a politically correct sheep who says and does mostly what he wants and not what he should say or act.
    3. Black.
    4. Arrogant although he backs up his gloating.
    5. Rich and flaunts it.

What is also worse is that a PED cheat and christian hypocrite Manny is given a pass for all his bull**** and lies but people still take his side over Floyds. And whats even more dumb is that people still pay Floyd more out of their own pockets than they do Manny even though Manny is more liked. Its all a mind **** if you ask me. I think Shaunster and the rest of america should critique themselves before talking **** about people who are doing it instead of being spectators.

Well you sound like a total dickhead as well, so I can see how this quandary would create a dilemma for you.

For me? Or the person making a thread about it? Let's make threads about why it's a shame d*ckheads exist. Fukkouttahere.

The bottom line is that how the biggest star behaves has no bearing on the sport. Only on himself.

Well if how he behaves has no bearing on the sport, why does he behave the way he does?

Boxing does not want a champion that's all of the thing you mentioned. Boxing and professional sports in general, have always been attracted to champions whoa are terribly flawed as human beings, yet great at their particular craft. The truth is, for all of Mayweather's flaws, there is always a story line with him, whether that's actual credence to it or not. Champions like the K bros. do everything right for the most part, so what's so exciting about that? Turn on the news and listen to the stories being reported, almost all negative, why, because unfortunately it's the bad news that makes us all feel a little more comfortable about our own personal situation. Sure the guy who found a wallet filled with money and returned it to it's rightful owner is a great story, but that's not what we want to hear about.

That's the thing. I might be well be impossible for someone to get superstar status without acting the villain. Although Pacquiao, The Klits and even Hatton to some extent were the face of boxing in their areas, and they had the good guy, down to earth image.

I was just interested in hearing people's views.
