Well that is a subjective viewpoint one would think.

Geale is fitter than Leapai imo.

But probably not as fit as Colin Wilson.

I doubt many top athletes could keep up with Colin Wilson's training regime. He could teach our footballers a thing or two with his post weigh in routine.

Exactly, it would have value if the personal trainer was a former pro at each different sport to know what it really takes..holding pads and a stop watch while hoping they dont have a hair out of place doesn't mean ****.
Any combat sports is menatlly taxing as well as physical.
You have to concentrate every second about not being hit and also when to hit every split second, and thats during the same time you use physical energy you are being hit and throwing back non stop.

I respect the triathlon dudes, but they just have to worry about there own technique at a controlled pace. Boxing you don't get that choice when the guy opposite you wants to kill you.

I think the article is quite good and shows a really good short list.

But it's hard to say which athlete is the fittest when comparing different sports. Like comparing Sally Pearson with Pete Jacobs is two totally different types of training.

Regardless, Geale certainly should be considered amongst Australia's best athletes pound for pound.
